Ugh,  her  body  felt  like  led  and  the  sting  in  her  throat  was  incredibly  agitating  but  she  couldn’t  just  lay  there.    Albedo  was  a  busy  man,    how  rude  would  it  be  to  inconvenience  him  like  this??

        “  ---  !  stay down !  ”  he’s swift in his defense of the student,  putting himself in the path between hapi and the foe that would seek to cause them both harm.  there’s a thump against his shield as their opponent’s weapon strikes against it,  then a familiar thrumming in his blood as he surges forward and knocks them off balance.  in another swift motion,  his lance pierces their exposed neck and they crumble.  only hapi is spared a glance after he wipes the blade against the grass beneath their feet.  with student lives in danger,  he will not pull his punches and he knows neither will their enemies.  “  we should make haste,  but  ---  are you okay to press forward ?  ”
