Lunokhod
"With our marvelous ‘horse’ we will walk the whole Moon."
Poster by V. Sachkov (USSR, 1970).
Strange blast of radiation from the sun causes the Soviet Lunokhod rovers to come back online, they start exhibiting crab-like behavior and start hunting the Chinese Yutu rovers

November 17, 1970: The Soviet Union lands Lunokhod 1 on the Moon. It’s the first robotic rover to explore another world. Art by Andrei Sokolov.
Roving on the moon. While NASA developed the Lunar Rover Vehicle, the Russian Space Agency created the Lunokhod Rover. It was designed to land on the moon from 1969-1977. The Lunokhod was the first remote controlled roving robot to land on another world. While the 1st Lunokhod (Lunokhod 0) was destroyed during lift-off in 1969, Lunokhod 1 (1970) and Lunokhod 2 (1973) made it to the moon. Lunokhod 3 (1977) was never launched. L1 traveled 10.5km on the lunar surface while L2 made it a whopping 39km!
EN : There he is, my Lunokhod 1 paper toy is finished ! At last !
Lunokhod 1 (Луноход 1) was a Soviet rover sent on the moon in 1970, it was the first remote controlled robot to roam on the surface of our satellite for eleven lunar days (321 Earth days) and traversed a total distance of 10,54km. It was an amazing achievement, and I just love the look of this thing, it's a shiny pot on wheels ! I'm working on this project since March, so i think I will not make any other paper toys for a time and focus on comics. I still have few ones to translate for you, and some others are on the drawing table.
