I don’t agree. I think both animes had something to offer. 90s has better animation and better storylines but it really doesn’t do Usagi/Mamoru/Chibiusa’s relationship any favors. Makes them all look kind of terrible tbh. Crystal follows the manga and makes Mamoru a good dad and partner. 90s is a superior adaption if you like the supporting cast better.

I also do not like how the 90s anime totally stripped Mamoru of his abilities as Endymion and basically ignored the lore of all the Sailor Scouts also being princesses of their own planets.
Even if Crystal was adapting a manga I liked, the animation and pacing is so bad that I can’t say it’s good in any front.
Usagi and Mamoru still look terrible in Crystal tbh, I despise the suicide scene to this day.
I found the romance in the manga annoying and boring and didn’t care for Mamoru (or Chibi Usa outside her relationship with Hotaru) or his powers in either version. I got into SM because of the girls and the slice of life. So agree to disagree.
