038 for ennoyama if you'd like a pairing as well~
038: "Rock Paper Scissors to see who has to go talk to the neighbors upstairs for being too loud."
Yeah, I wanted people to pick a pairing too~ I wasn’t as slow as usual, I hope it’s good!
In my head it’s set in the same setting as this but you don’t have to read it to understand
Tadashi’s heart was beating in sync with the bass of the pop song blasting from upstairs. He groaned, trying to block out the sound by using his boyfriend’s body as a shield. But even the arm draped over his ears could do so much.
“I’m starting to hate this song…” he muttered, not bothering to check if Chikara was awake or not. He knew he was a light sleeper.
“I’m starting to hate this building,” Chikara sighed, sounding defeated. “The students like to follow the thursday night is party night rule too much.”
Giving up on sleep for now, Tadashi turned around, resting his chin on Chikara’s chest and looking up at him.
“You sound like an old man.”
“Says the one that started complaining like one,” his boyfriend countered. He flicked Tadashi’s forehead with a smile.
Tadashi pouted, rubbing his forehead.
“I have an early class tomorrow.”
“And I stayed up all night yesterday to finish an assignment, I need to sleep too.”
“Right,” Tadashi drew patterns on Chikara’s chest, not looking at him anymore. “I guess we’re even.”
They kept quiet for a while, listening to the song coming to an end. Tadashi glanced at the alarm clock on his nightstand. It was almost 2am, surely the party upstairs was going to end soon. He was wrong.
The music did stop for a while, and they felt relieved for a while. Until it was replaced by the sound of explosion coming from an action movie.
“Ok, that’s it,” Chikara sat up. “I really need to sleep, and they have shitty taste in movie.”
Tadashi sat up too, turning to face his boyfriend.
“Rock Paper Scissors like usual?” he asked.
Chikara hid his fit behind his head.
“3 rounds, loser asks them to quiet down.”
Tadashi nodded, and hid his fit behind his back.
Chikara locked the door, feeling drained. His talk with the neighbours had been more difficult that he’d have thought, and he completely blamed it on the alcohol. There was no way him insulting their taste in movies had an impact. But in the end, he managed to have them turn the volume down, so it was that.
He got back into his shared bed, trying to make as little noise as possible, and laid on his side, his back toward his boyfriend.
Hands rested on his chest, pulling him toward Tadashi. Lips kissed his neck, and Tadashi whispered a quiet thank you. It took him some time to adjust their bodies, and pushing a leg between Chikara’s, but finally Tadashi seemed to settle down.
Chikara smiled, and closed his eyes. It was hard in the beginning to adjust to Tadashi’s clinginess, but now it was hard for him to sleep without his boyfriend flush against him. Their room now silent, it didn’t take him long to finally fall asleep.
