It's so discouraging seeing (primarily western) fandoms chasing comic/show creators off of social media and something like an anime adaption having to be "toned down for international audiences" and shit like that... Maybe I'm just old but I feel like there has to be a line somewhere. If you don't like something you can just not watch/read it?? And maybe realise that not every mistake or clumsy statement or even "problematic" opinion has to deserve a hate mob??

The irony of me growing out my eyebrows bc I was tired of drawing them in only for some hormone fuckery to make my eyebrows thin out until almost nothing just a couple years afterwards...

Sometimes doing adult chores is such a joke. Went into town today to get my new prescription glasses and to visit the physical store for my internet provider to get some advice and prepare a new network deal for our upcoming move

Come home, turns out my prescription is all fucked up and I need to go back to get my glasses fixed, and even though the internet guy said he'd put the new contract on hold until we move, I got a text saying it was activated tonight?? So I have to go back and ask what happened.

This means I have to go into town tomorrow to basically do the exact same thing I did today... This weekend is just the same two chores over and over. It's like a lame tedious version of the ACNH daily tasks...

I watched this analysis of a "Men who hate women" perspective of Mouthwashing and it really put into words a feeling I've had ever since I first played the game.

I understand that Anya wasn't the only one who endured Jimmy's abuse. But to me it's just not comparable. Anya is so alone in this. She is the only woman. She tried to confide in the one man who had authority to do something about the horrible abuse she went through. And he did nothing. Because he was trying to keep the peace. The peace that had already been destroyed for her. She had nobody, she was completely alone.

Men who hate women aren't just the abusers. It's the men who let the abuse happen because it's easier to keep the peace than do something about it. It's easier to pretend like it's not that big of a deal. To say something like "we can fix this" to both Anya and Jimmy as if they are going through the same amount of stress about what happened is bananas.

Anyway I recommend the video, it's really well edited and discusses the actual "Men who hate women" franchise and stuff too. It's neat!!
