Tossing Lupin into a wall before he explodes (AKA here’s a new chapter)

Lupin could hear them whispering from his spot on the couch. Things about his health, things about doctors. He was not going to a doctor. That meant having to deal with Pops and he was not going to have to bother with that right now.

Rolling onto his back, Lupin wheezed slightly as he wrapped his arms around his middle. Breathing was difficult now due to the pain. He found himself choking on his breaths more often with every hour that passed, the stabbing pain running up into his chest and into his mid back.

“Lupin?” Goemon’s face hovered over his own through swimming vision. “Are you there?”

“…right here..” Lupin looked up at him, trying to keep his breathing steady and his eyes focused as he flashed what he hoped was a convincing smile.

"Basically" married to Lupin? You can't tell me that he's not 100% accidentally or secretly ACTUALLY married to Lupin, and Monkey Man just hasn't told him. - J

I meant "basically" as far as canon is concerned. Personally, I'm 100% certain they're (more or less) legally married, and I have multiple headcanons about it.

-Vegas wedding. Lupin hid the certificate somewhere Jigen couldn't find it.

-Small print in the employment contract said that Jigen and Goemon were now officially married to Lupin. (it was one of the contract renewal, after Lupin had worked with them for a long time and trusted them with his life; it was partly a ploy to have someone he trusted carry on his name if he died. But only partly.)

-Lupin actually properly proposed to them, and they got married two by two in three separate countries. During the honeymoon, Jigen got completely drunk and destroyed the marriage certificates, stating that they couldn't return him without the receipt.

(Fujiko runs away any time Lupin makes the slightest hint at the idea of getting married)
