PRAISE OYA! It’s another #beerandvinylpairings to celebrate the announcement of the next @vodunband album I got thinking about their first release “Possession” a power punch to the ears, heavy yet natural, thumping drums and furious riffs with Chantal Brown (formerly of regularly spinned on my deck, gods and goddesses amongst men and women #domebadthings) hitting every single note discovered by man and then coming up with some new ones. It’s complex stuff, yet so easy to the ear. So that’s why it’s a first for my #beerandvinylpairings that I should seek out a beer to match a record as opposed to the other way around. The beer in question is “Lupuloid” by @beavertownbeer 6.7% unfiltered, unpasteurised, natural IPA! A powerhouse of hops, earthy back and zesty and very playful... everything else! It’s this record in a beer! I’m either making amazing headway in this experiment or I’ve been possessed by the Haitian gods themselves and they’re craving great beer and a nose through my vinyl! #oya #haiti #vodun #beavertown #lupuloid #chantalbrown #orange #beerandvinylpairings #craftbeerporn #possession #ipa #toomanyhastags (at Ashford, Kent)
