Moggs is definitely the most Down To Party, practically half her time in the Imperial City is spent going to fancy imperial parties and rubbing elbows with nobility. Granted, it’s mostly to garner sympathy/support for Orsinium and I doubt she has a particularly good time at most of them (unless Dulaney is there to spice things up), but she’s definitely the most Party Prone (for the longest portion of her life, too– she’s very involved in the Imperial (and Breton) party scene from her late teens to her late 50′s)

Daggerfall-era Dulaney also spent a fair amount of time in fancy parties!! She was pretty highly decorated after serving in the War Of Betony and got invited to galas a lot, partially because people were impressed with such a promising legionnaire and partially bc she had a reputation for being A Lot Of Fun 

Ghuff’s main Fancy Party Experience was the Thalmor party during Skyrim’s main quest but she reluctantly goes to the Nord equivalent of fancy parties every so often, particularly after she slays Alduin and gets fairly famous. I have been meaning to draw the Thalmor party for so long lmao Ghuff had..A Time. Delphine tried to pass her off as the representative/wife of a wealthy Orc Chieftain so she had to deal with a resurgence of identity issues, terrible acting skills, and. general ineptitude with nobility

Lurdge…..also went to her fair share of parties during the Morrowind days while trying to become Hortator, she Super Hated Dunmeri political parties because she Super Hated Dunmer politicians and she Super Duper Hated having to pretend to enjoy both of those things (especially while mostly sober, what a sacrifice). 

Other than them, Aptus and Maulok occasionally attend Imperial and Breton parties, but only when dragged along by Moggs, and that isn’t very often because Maulok is super disdainful of human nobility and Aptus is a bit of a ben wyatt at parties

hey owligator! i was wondering what some of your oc's opinions on vampirism were :o

Well!! the most chill around vampires is probably Lurdge, and the most anti-vampire bunch is probably the Daggerfall squad. Lurdge doesn’t mind docile vampires for a few reasons, mostly because a) she can relate to the whole “being a nasty immortal monster” thing, b) she’s immune to disease so she doesn’t have to worry about Turning and c) she’s gotta lower her standards a lil if she wants to (in theory cough cough) befriend people who could conceivably exist as long as her. She’ll usually try to reason with hostile vampires instead of automatically killing them 

Moggs and Maulok and Anzul view vampires more as intelligent pests or animals than anything else, High Rock is home to one hell of a lot of vampire clans and I’m sure a lot of them enjoy harassing small, isolated Strongholds. Aptus sees them as unholy abominations too, so. 0 mercy/sympathy

Oraca would work with vampires but he would never actually trust one, he sees vampirism as one of the “cheaper” routes to immortality and doesn’t hold their kind in high esteem. why succumb to animalistic bloodlust for all eternity when u could just make 1000000 overly convoluted deals w daedric princes instead am i right

J’shr is fuckin terrified of vampires he’s a baby, Im sure Durza used to tell him plenty of scary stories about undead monsters living in the sewers/canals of Bravil

Aand none of the rest of them have particularly interesting opinions, they’re all kinda. “Kill hostile vampires, keep a wary eye on the non-hostile guys”

CAN U DESCRIBE YOUR OCs VOICES...

I DONT REALLY HAVE VOICECANONS FOR ALL OF THEM SWEATS BUT i do have ideas for SOME 

garul’s voice is p identical to craig fergusson/gobber from httyd, its not actually very deep at all and it’s VERY SINGSONG he has an expressive, cheerful, often exaggerated voice w a very pronounced scottish-sounding accent 

Jshr has a very high scratchy voice that cracks a lot, especially when he gets defensive or excited. kinda like rigby from the regular show but a lil higher B’’) He tends to talk either very quietly or very loudly and does not have an accent or use Khajiiti speech mannerisms (like referring to himself/everyone in 3rd person, “this one", etc)

lurdge has a very specific voice in my head and i feel like ive heard it before somewhere but for now the closest thing i have to it is the khajiit ladies from oblivion!! Her voice is very gnarly and she speaks in a drawly, almost lazy way, usually with a bit of a sneer (unless she’s excited or drunk or unusually friendly). also think of old singers like bob dylan and willie nelson whose voices have been fucked up by alcohol/smoking as they age, lurdge probably has some of that goin on too

Ghuff does not have a voicecanon but her voice is pretty deep and soft and even, i dont have anything specific in mind besides that :’0  I have been imagining Rato as having some degree of a welsh-sounding accent but thats all i got for her too 3 

durzas voice is veery low, the best way i can think to describe it is a sliiiightly deeper and more feminine, uh. “”rounder”” version of delvin mallory’s voice (or alternatively bruce’s voice from finding nemo lmfao), if that makes sense??? i bounce around with her voice a lot but im pretty sure she’d have an accent. She talks in a kinda quiet way bc she likes making people lean in closer to hear what she’s saying

Ofarazzi’s voice is just. standard khajiit voice, pretty much this exactly (fuck i remember watching that when it first came out and bein so goddamn fired up). He has a very pronounced accent and is my only Khajiit who uses typical Khajiiti speech mannerisms when he speaks! Lurdge used to tease him abt it a lot 

Husaraba’s voice is kiiiinda like the standard khajiit lady voice in skyrim, a tad bit deeper and less raspy but she does not actually have a particularly deep voice. Although she has the accent she does not use Khajiiti speech mannerisms, mostly because she has found that it makes the Dunmer she deals with regularly slightly uncomfortable 

I dont have anything specific in mind for the rest of them but. SOMEDAY

did any of your OC's receive formal combat training?

oh yeah!!! A few of them did, even Garul. His training wasn’t anything super special tho, when he and Amrael joined the navy they both got some standard training by a Legion drill sergeant. Im sure he’s forgotten most of it by now, rip.

Lurdge was trained with a bow a little bit by her birth father and more extensively by her adoptive mother Justinia! When Justinia discovered Lurdge had magic she tried to send her off to the Arcane University but that only lasted a day or two before Lurdge was like this is LAME and left (she was also a bit self-conscious probably, she didn’t come into her magic until she was in her 20′s and all the other entry-level students were children) 

 Ghuff was trained but not..formally.. she received a ton of training from Lurdge (who taught her a lot about archery but was Very Unimpressed by her incompetence with magic). She’s used swords for a couple years but she wasn’t too good with them until pretty recently, Delphine gives her some much-needed melee training after they get to Sky Haven. She also got quite a bit of training at her old Stronghold, mostly about hunting, she was super young tho

 Rato was trained by her dad! He took her training extreeeemely seriously holy shit her training was INTENSE. think Hanna but not in the middle of the arctic wilderness. It was mostly swordplay/mounted combat/survival training, she’s almost exclusively self-taught when it comes to magic. 

 Oraca was taught swordplay by his parents, who were Legion deserters living on Solstheim. After he left home he was trained in stealth/hand-to-hand/assassination shit by a Morag Tong assassin named Gunnund who was a super cool lady and i need to post more about her. She taught him on the condition he join the Morag Tong when he had advanced enough but he ended up joining the Dark Brotherhood instead which was a Pretty Dick Move

Aand Moggs also received super high quality training from her uncle Gortwog throughout all her early life, fuckin special ass snowflake. All the attention he gave her made his legitimate sons (including Maulok) v resentful but fuck em am i right

AW DAMN what a great question wtf. um. probably the one who’d have the most success would be Moggs just bc she is so capable. She’d get that world saved fast af, and also probably side with the Blades. Other than her, Rato and Lurdge and Oraca would do pretty well too! Oraca and Rato would also kill Paarthy (especially Oraca, he is not the type to tolerate any sort of loose ends or potential threats at all. leave nothing to chance am i right. Rato would just do it bc she’s so loyal to the Blades), idk if Lurdge would but i can see her hangin out with an old-ass dragon on top of a mountain. being angry on top of mountains is kind of her thing

Garul, Enashra, and Durza would most likely fail lmao. Durza is definitely strong enough to handle the role, but she is soooooooooooooo irresponsible and it’s so fucking hard to get through to her I do not think she would appreciate the gravity of the situation until it’s too late. Enashra is a bit of a coward and not good at fighting, and Garul is a pacifist and also old and kinda arthritic and not mobile at all i do not think either of them could handle dragon fighting rip

what would lurdge do if she ever saw Roran again?

ahAHAH GREAT TIMING ive been thinking about this for the past few days ! (for reasons i might go into later uhh) i think. first of all, if it was just in passing, I doubt they would even recognize each other?? Roran is still relatively young by Dunmer standards but he ought to have changed a reasonable amount in like 200 years and Lurdge is now old af, mohawk’d, disfigured etc etc. So there’s that.

I feel like Lurdge’s immediate knee-jerk reaction would to be mad at him but even she would realize that that would be unreasonable. Anger dissolved into mild saltiness. But I’m sure they’d be buddy-buddy again in no time, maybe even travel together for a lil while. lots of ass slapping for old times sake

LURDGE was raised in the imperial city waterfront after she was exiled from her stronghold, technically by one oldish guard lady but p much all the guards stationed there had a hand in bringing her up!! She was influenced a lot by them and by the thieves guild members she befriended around the waterfront. Her first job (that lasted her for most of her pre-Morrowind life) was a dockhand, although she was a fence and smuggler on the side ;o 

GARUL spent a relatively large amount of time in Sentinel when he was youngish, and he really misses it and has a bunch of friends there. eventually when he and j’shr raise enough flower-sellin’ money they buy a horse and travel west back to hammerfell and live with the family that Garul lived with before he became a sailor and moved to Skyrim. they are v happy and live there forever the end 

GHUFF killed parthuurnax oops. She’s a little too into the dragon-slayer aesthetic and would probably kill Odahviing if she could. In my headcanon she killed her first dragon around Falkreath and it killed her dog and fucked her up real bad, but Garul was around and got her back on her feet B) 

aaand DURZA……….. The Blades really straighten Durza out, she was a Tremendous Asshole before she joined up but she gets a lot better after her induction. Ok tho it’s mostly because she is very cut off from other people in Sky Haven Temple and does not have as many opportunities to be a Tremendous Asshole, but whatever works am i right. It is also because she is separated from Enashra probably, man i havent done much w/ that lizard lately but what a fucker
