luseymoth said: WHOOPS late reply but what’s the difference between the graphic punch and the circle cutter? Obviously they cut the circle differently but IDK if one’s built for a certain paper or w/e :C
AH, i almost didn't notice this comment! But aight, uhh, you know, I read a little bit about it, and it seems people say that the graphic punch is easier to use/a little faster to operate? But then, ya gotta factor in the cost too, because it's a more expensive thing.I've only punched two things with it so far (been pretty busy with graduation/trying to get my job back on track/drawing other things), and it was fairly easy. Required a little bit of pushing, BUT WHAT DOESN'T. As for paper, it all seems to work with the same, not a difference there. Everywhere I've read, they don't really recommend anything thicker than your standard thinish printer paper. Could even have trouble with photo paper, both of them. Shrugs. I don't really have plans to use anything other than printer paper, or prints that I get printed elsewhere. Because yeah, inkjet printers make kind of crappy quality images, when that small. Saw it in a video, tested it, and yep. Laserjet is the way to go. This means that when I get around to actually printing my button designs, I'll have to go elsewhere. Staples or something, I'm not sure yet.
luseymoth replied to your photo:cries, look what just came in but i had to...
OOH MAN Which button maker did you buy? I’m thinking of getting one but there’s too many to choose from ;O;
I got a Tecre button machine, from here!: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ButtonBoyInc Specifically, I got one of their starter kits that comes with a graphic punch and a nice chunk of parts to make buttons. It kind of varies what deals and combos show up there from day to day, week to week, though. A week or two ago, I couldn't find the combo I just bought a couple days ago. Looks like they can work with you to make customized listings, however. I was also closely considering buying a machine from here: http://www.umakebuttons.com/ Both these sites have good reviews for their machines and service... good luck!! ;u;
