lushwater made a post about a new blogstyle called dark serene, its on her blog. thoughts?

I like the idea of categorising our blogs, just so it’s easier for everyone to find similar blogs, however, the post she made describing the blog style has screenshots of two completely different blog styles and stating they now the same blog style. Also, the name doesn’t really suit the posts reblogged - however that is just our opinion. Overall, the blog style doesn’t make much sense. - Top Goss Xx

Purebeachboho: Extremely popular blogger with a lovely blog however we do think that her URL is just a bit too long, we are not huge fans of her theme and she changes blog styles quite frequently which does annoy us a bit.

Eauyouth: Lovely URL and theme however we don’t really like her banner as it doesn’t really match her blog and we also don’t really like her blogging style as it incorporates several blogging styles into one.

Lushwater: Lovely URL, theme and posts however the white gap above her banner could be a bit smaller and her description is a bit too long for the header. Other than that, she has a wonderful blog.

Fc and thoughts on lushwater, aigwa and wholvies?

Lushwater: Nice URL, posts, theme and banner. I dislike her choice of SCM player, I'd recommend a plain white one. Her posts match each other perfectly along with her URL. I'd assume her followers are around the 5k - 6k mark. 

Aigwa: Lovely theme, posts and URL. Although her theme is gorgeous, it is slightly overused and I'd recommend a new one. Also, I'd recommend a plain white SCM music player. Finally, her posts are gorgeous although a majority of them are blue except a few recent pink posts and I'd recommend that she sticks to reblogging blue as it gives her blog more continuity. I'd assume her follower count is only 100 or so.

Wholvies: Amazing blog! Love the vibrant combination of colors displayed through the posts and banner. The only things I would change is the color of the banner and header links, perhaps to a more subtle color such as grey or white, just to keep focus on the posts, rather than the links. I'd assume her follower count is only 200 or so.

FILM REVIEW: After Earth (2013)

Our film critic Kenzie (lushwater) reviews M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth, starring Jaden and Will Smith.

Hey guys, I'm Kenzie from New Zealand and I'm the new movie writer! I'm 18 and I'm studying Law at the best law school in the country and somehow managing to maintain my blog on the side. We get movies a bit later than most countries but I will always give an honest opinion of any movie I see, and I will also take requests if you choose to send me one! So let's kick off my first review!

AFTER EARTH REVIEW

With a rating of only 4.9 on IMDb and 11% on Rotten Tomatoes, a lot of people would have not even gone to see the movie After Earth, which starred Will Smith and his son Jaden. However, I don't tend to read movie reviews before I see the movie, so my boyfriend and I went along anyway. It was actually quite good, the story was strong, if paced a little slowly, and the special effects were good if not great. For those of you who know absolutely nothing about this movie, I'll give you an outline. Many years from now, humanity has left Earth and Earth has evolved in our absence, becoming extremely deadly. Will's character and Jaden's character, who are father and son Cypher and Kitai Raige, are stranded there, the only survivors of a spaceship crash, and with Cypher severely injured, Kitai must be the one to save them.

The movie opens with an explanation of what exactly happened to the human race to make them leave Earth. It is claimed that this happened 1000 years ago, but the issue I take with this is that later in the movie it is claimed that Earth has evolved to be hostile to humans in this 1000 years, which I find implausible, personally. The explanation is good, however, and it sets the scene for the story very well, even with an introduction to the deadly creatures faced by the main character later in the film.

I liked pretty much all of the rest of the movie, with that slight inaccuracy being my only real problem with it. The story definitely could have progressed a little quicker, but there were no boring moments, at least not for me. The special effects were great, and the story was written and directed well.

I genuinely enjoyed this movie and I would definitely pay to see it again. I would also recommend it to others in a heartbeat. It's a very interesting movie, and the casting choice of Will and Jaden was in my opinion the right one.
