Quick question if you don’t mind.

How well do you think Luke actually knew Obi-Wan? I always felt like it really wasn’t much, which is tragic because man if Luke ever found out what Obi-Wan and Anakin where like together it’d be hilarious.

I don't think he knows him very well! Growing up watching the OT, I assumed Obi-Wan was the crazy old drunk/witch who lived on the outskirts of town, who everyone knew in a vague legendary way but not in a close personal way. I feel like Luke has a few scattered but Very Memorable memories of meeting this man whom he can sense is gay like him before he even knows what gay is. He is probably more charitable to Obi-Wan's weirdness than other people and defends him when other people talk shit about him.

I think it could be soooooo compelling and heartbreaking to find out this guy you had this relationship to was actually sort of your father :) Maleficent vibes...
