abrupt tone that fell from pillowed lips spiked through femme’s heart in the shape of daggers , chills traveling up spine as anxious fingertips dug into sofa cushions. it wasn’t unlike duo to mindlessly bicker , but there was a vast difference of those prior moments compared to the battlefield they had surrendered themselves upon. cherry lips hung agape as lump formed in the apple of throat , thorns of a stubborn rose wrapping itself around neck and tightly enclosing as words struggled to reach air. salty tears pooled behind optics , forming stream around cheeks as legs stretched out to peel body off cushions —— icy glare managing to burn holes as she mirrored dark eyes through glossed vision. “ how can i trust you ? don’t you know how miserable it is to put your heart in the hands of someone who shows you nothing in return ? ” words gasp out in a stifled sob , whites of knuckles revealing themselves as fists balled up in agonizing frustration. “ i want to trust you , angel. i want you to tell me that i’m not fighting this battle with you for absolutely nothing. ” heart had found home in the depths of stomach , fingertips moving to swipe away tears that had stained skin. “ i want to trust you because i love you. i love you so fucking much it’s a bit pathetic , ” eyes roll back accompanied by quiet scoffed laughter , inching a step closer towards lover as she desperately fixated on fire that danced behind pupils. “ do you even care that i’m pathetically in love with you ? ”
