It'd been a long day, and Ezreal wanted nothing more than to get back to his apartment and sleep for about five years. After spending way more time in the library than he thought was even possible, he thought that maybe a trip back down to District Delta to have another look at the hieroglyphs on the walls might help clear something up.
Long story short, it didn't. Long story long, it didn't, and Ezreal had spent nearly fifteen hours underground wandering around Delta, looking for clues that weren't there. While he enjoyed the mystery, he didn't enjoy not finding anything, which was what he'd been doing for the past three months. It was getting more than a little frustrating, but for the moment, it was nothing a good, long, ten-hour nap couldn't fix.
Upon reaching the bus stop, he leaned against the sign as he yawned and rubbed his eyes with his free hand. He blanked out for a minute, staring idly at the opposite side of the street and the people walking past. One girl passed by that looked kind of like Lux, but that was only wishful thinking on Ezreal's part. Lux wasn't in the--
He did a double-take, his heart skipping a beat as the realization hit. No way--it was her! What was she--how did she--
Quickly checking to make sure the street was clear, Ezreal ran across to the other sidewalk, accidentally knocking into someone as he tried to catch up, waving to get her attention.
"Sorry, sorry--Lux! Hey, Lux! Over here!"
