Taught the girlfriend the basics of mig welding today and built some telescoping stands to support long stock in the forge and for chopping down stock bars on the miter saw.

The culmination of the work this weekend at the forge. Went to a Renaissance Faire and saw some mug belt hooks (which are apparently a necessity for ren faire goers) The smith who was there was selling them for between $25-35 a piece so I promptly came home and made a bunch of my own. Takes about 20 minutes to make one, not bad for 20 minutes of work...that is if you don't melt the 3/8ths stock to slag in the bottom of your forge...WHICH I ONLY DID ON ONE PIECE! >__> <__< >__>
