[Trace] Trace my muse’s scar purposely

Qrow sighed deeply as he entered his room, peeling his shirt off his body. He had been on an especially rough mission that day and he was glad to be over with it. All he wanted was to lay down and sleep the rest of the night.

He entered his bathroom and looked at the mirror, noticing some dark circles under his eyes. Surely from the sleepless night before. He leaned down to the sink and turned the water on, splashing his face a few times.

A sudden feeling across his right side caught him off guard, looking down to investigate. He noticed a familiar gloved hand tracing his long scar with a gentle touch. A welcome feeling honestly. He looked up and saw Clover standing there, Qrow’s face relaxing a bit. “Can you be any quieter when you enter? And ever hear of knocking?” He half joked with the other.

she’s looking down to the cuts on her arm and shoulder before gazing upwards and meeting his stare, giving clover a soft smile. he’s just as protective of her as she is of him, her other hand reaching for his and lacing their fingers together. they’re alone for the moment so she’s able to share it with him.

‘ i could say the same to you, ‘  she’s running her thumb over the back of his hand.  ‘ there’s nowhere else i’d rather be. ‘

Qrow looked shyly at the man, a slight blush rising on his cheeks. He knew he liked him a bit, but this was out of character for even him to do. Still he acted on this impulse and leaned over, surprising the other man with a peck on the lips.

“Last I checked, there was an age minimum for huntsman academies.” 

The fact that he was- technically- old enough to be in a precombat school went pointedly unsaid because he wanted to be right. Especially against one of Ironwood’s men, whom he could only assume was sent over here to try and drag another blind follower from Father’s side.

“ we both have the night off . what do you say we head up to the roof & watch the stars ? ” // uwu

               Nearly falling over his own feet, the normally graceful huntsman had to take a moment to regain his footing. Had he heard that correctly? Did Clover really wish to spend time with him and only him? Pale features were quick to heat up, his eyes darting down towards his feet.

                Why was it so hard to suddenly speak? Why did it feel as if he had just launched himself off of another training pillar despite being grounded? This was Clover asking! Yet, the butterflies still managed to rise. Clearing his throat, Vine attempted to pick himself back up from his momentary panic. 

               “I would enjoy that. Would the usual blend of tea be alright? Or would you prefer coffee?” It took the poor man a few years to learn Clover never dressed for the weather, nor did it seem to bug him. But would that stop Vine from fretting? Never.

Qrow’s face began to grow redder and redder, almost matching his cape as the other sat upon his lap. He didn’t know what to do at this point. Not that he minded much. “C-Clover, you know there’s plenty of other chairs...” He said, his voice half wanting the man to stay where he was.

          weary, praying for an opportunity to sleep, the corvid has taken a moment to himself in hopes of gathering the mental fortitude to press on through the day, to put on his ‘everything is fine’ mask in front of his nieces and all the other kids. they’ve been stronger than him on several occasions but he still wants to protect them, to give them hope that he’s not even sure he has himself, and that desire corners him in situations like this--all alone with no one to confide in.

          he doesn’t even notice the ace ops’ approach, perhaps a little too lost in his own thoughts for his usual levels of paranoid awareness, but the other man’s sudden presence doesn’t feel jarring at all. in fact, hearing clover’s voice is quick to make him smile, a feat that only ruby and yang have been capable of up until recently. instead of tensing up or attempting to quickly correct his melancholy demeanor, the avian relaxes and leans into the soldier’s side, nudging his head against the other’s in turn.

          “hey.”
