Sacrifice and reunions...
Before going any further, I guess I should give a small description of my OC. Elisa Sinclair is a half-elf woman wizard in her thirties. She's well verse in the arcane. If you ask her, she'll tell you that she was bless with a natural talent for magic alongside a keen mind that makes her a polyvalent addition to her party. She's the eldest out of a total of four siblings (all step brothers/sisters). Elisa and her siblings were taught and trained at a young age to become future advisor to kings or queens, but she wasn't cut out for it. She left the nest after a tragedy struck the family. She developt a knack for crafting and painting thanks to her Firbolg mentor Miari. Wich she helped her start her modest magic shop in a neirbhoring town. Elisa also got a hold of a stray cat (quite literally), as she won a little Tabaxi slave girl at a poker card game. Wich she promptly adopted. She was hired to craft a magic weapon for a king, Benjamin Remziel. Met up with the party as they have to collect a rare material called Tenebris and she wants to guarantee the quality of the material, hence why she’s tagging along.

I have to mention that this is a few sessions in the campaign for Elisa, 3/4 at the very least.
So here's a few informations on what the party was up to.
The party was looking for a man who went by the name, The Masked Man. He had knowledge on how to correctly use an "artifact" the party had in their possession.
In short, we successfully met up with the Masked Man and he gave us the information we needed. In exchange, he asked that we let him erase his existence from out mind to keep his identity a secret, wich we did.

We woke up the next morning, with dazed memory in the house of a friendly NPC named Zalumo, a halfling who's ways of moving around and habits are greatly inspired by the halfling deity Brandobaris.
We met up with a new player who helped us get back to the house as we were drugged, in a way, by the Masked Man.
We grouped up and start discussing the steps needed to activate the artifacts and why the party wanted to use it. It’s some sort of one-time True Resurrection that required one person to die to bring another back.
Elisa was not too attracted to the idea of using the artifact. An NPC took on the role of sacrificing himself, Axthensys, a tiefling male. Elisa tried to convince the group against using it, saying it was no better than committing suicide or giving up.
Axthensys’s way of talking actually made it look like it. That he was the only one that could do this because he thought he was expendable.
Eventually, Elisa gave up trying to convince them since they wouldn’t budge. They even ask why she cared about Axthensys, since she joined the party a week earlier. She refused to answer clearly because, like they said, they only met a few days ago, but it had to do with personal experience.
The artifact was used, bringing back a fallen friend of the group, a tiefling barbarian named Piety Spiritguard (my previous character before Elisa).
The group didn’t have any time to rejoice in the newly revived Piety. A vilain the group had failed to bring down before, the same one that led to Piety’s and half the party’s death, launched a massive attack on the town they were staying in.
The remaining of the session, just think Baldur’s gate 3 cinematic annoucement.
We managed to get out, we did bump into a few reanimated friends on the way tho.
