RIGHT?? i see the music get used in amvs all the time cuz it’s just so moving <3 and same dude, i always loved how he looked like he could be related to dinosaurs, an yet so fantastical too. and he had such an expressive face. the animation was top quality at the time, and still holds up pretty good

does myself as as self-insert count? >///< i even thought about my quirk! it’s called fight-or-flight and basically, in tough situations, it activates and either it makes the person really strong and a formidable fighter (the fight) or it makes them quick and hypersensitive to their surroundings so that they can flee and it manifests in wings on the wielder’s back and little tiny ones on the head!

….. i needed the wings to reflect that i love magical girl themes, especially carcaptor sakura XD

i was also considering a secondary effect of the quirk which is very minor compulsion essentially - it activates alongside both the fight and flight responses but using it too much makes the user nosebleed and then pass out if the compulsion is used even further

then there’s this bad effect called freeze where the quirk is activated, but it kinda misfires? and makes the wielder freeze completely. no fighting. no fleeing. just a deer in headlights effect. (based off my actual fear response which is VERY NOT HELPFUL to say the least)

I especially hated how much they dumbed down the list of Pokemon you could be, and I also hated that they made such a strong focus on gender for all of the Pokemon in town?? Like just 100% unnecessary.

The dungeons felt a lot less challenging, uninteresting, and the system for leveling up moves made things way too easy-- especially since you only needed one Pokemon to level up and it just shared the benefits with all the others. While this is convenient, I’d much rather level up all of my Pokemon and feel proud in their hard-won abilities

I also hated how the missions were handled. I miss just doubling up on like 3-4 missions and setting out without having to go through a fucking request gate??? Like what
