Memorabilia from letteringvscalligraphy.com project. A tear-apart card we created back in those times with @beppeartz. This became one of the battles, too. For those that don’t know about the project, this is an online battle we carried on with the Italian calligrapher @beppeartz some years ago. We were creating a letter per day according to a key word (for instance: sexy s). He was executing it with calligraphy (that means writing the letter) and I was executing it with lettering (drawing the letter). We were uploading it to a website where visitors could vote! We created hundreds of letters and the website remains today as a gallery of letter inspiration. Have a look on letteringvscalligrpahy.com. @pixart_uk invited me to create letters inspired by architectural icons. Something like Architecture vs Lettering! I illustrated capital letters to match 10 iconic building around the world and I'll be sharing this in the next few days. #tb to the first time I was on a big stage. It was on @typober 2012, and my favorite rival @beppeartz was there with me for reeling the story of our project letteringvscalligraphy.com. Now, this presentation was SO MUCH FUN, not only we held a good tempo at presenting (really tough when you’re two) but also we made an on-stage competition, got the audience voting and had the chance to have first class type freaks like @j_siebert @andreasfrohloff @ninastoessinger @stewf and @baldcondensed judging the entire competition.
