Long Way From Home ⇨ Will [AU]
The last thing she remembered was the hat, the wraith and the flames before she fell through. How long had she been out? Emma didn't know, but when she did wake up, her head and back ached. Correction, her head was pounding while her back ached but her surroundings were what caused her to get up despite the ache and pain. Emma brought a hand up to her throbbing head, taking a moment to just breathe. The fall had hit her hard--in the literal sense. Bringing her hand down, Emma slowly stood up only to realize shew as not home. She was not in town square, or anywhere near Storybrooke.
A part of her hoped that maybe she somehow transported herself into the woods nearing the town line, but the whole point was to push the wraith in another world. She highly doubt she was in her world, that was only wishful thinking; Looking around, all Emma noticed were the trees. No one seemed to be around, in fact it was quiet--too quiet for her liking. It also seemed like a dead end because she was here alone. Emma looked up towards the sky, as if the portal would be open still. Again, there were no signs of people any where but that was the least of her concerns. Less people meant less things to worry about. The obvious questions running through her mind was where was she, if she could just get back, would the wraith return?
Rather than just standing around in one place, Emma decided it was best to get out of here. She wasn't the best at navigating herself out of a forest so she hoped her instincts kicked in. As she headed the direction she thought best, Emma was still alert. She had her gun and her phone on her, but that was about it. The drop down had an affect on her and while her back and head still hurt, her legs were slightly shaky. With her arms crossed, Emma continued walking only to slow down when she found a trail. A part of her was glad that she wasn't wandering around the forest aimlessly, and another part of her was slightly worried as to what she'd run into down that trail.
Emma didn't walk out onto the trail, instead she decided to follow it while hidden. That way if she saw anything, she'd be out of sight--hopefully. At this point of walking, Emma wished she had a compass or something. With her gaze kept out on the road, Emma didn't realize she was walking into a trap until the rope tightened around her ankle and the weight pulled her up. Her phone and gun came sliding out of her pocket and the headache that was subsiding was suddenly back to throbbing. "Are you kidding me?!" she asked no one in particular. With her hands hanging above her head due to the position she was in, Emma looked around to see if anyone would be in sight.
