"Ah, you must be La Bouff's kid. He mentioned he had a daughter the last time we spoke," he recalls casually, as if he hadn't spent the night quizzing himself on his potential investor's personal history. "I presume he's not around, since the maid brought you to the door instead. May I wait for him inside?"

❝You’re bleeding.❞
Brooklyn and Lottie
Give me a ship and I’ll tell you:
Who cooks: Once learning from Broadway, it’s safe to say that Brooklyn would be the cooker. Lottie did not really have an interest in learning but it’s most likely that they get food to go anyway from restaurants or from vendors unaware of a sneaky Gargoyle who’s learned basic facts about scoring a free meal undetected.
Who does the laundry and other chores: Since Brooklyn sleeps at day, Charlotte mostly does the work herself since she claims that as an independent woman…but she still gets gets help from the servants who help her out and patiently teach her the works. Brooklyn does the dishes at night and mostly cleans up after himself when Charlotte is too exhausted.
How many children do they have: Biologically? None. Brooklyn felt bad that he had denied Lottie the right to have children despite her strained smiles and “it’s fine, sugar” so he worked on adoptions during the night and finally presented her with the approval one night. They end up the parents of small twins named Marion and Bernard.
Who’s more dominate: While most would think that it’s Brooklyn, that title goes to Lottie herself but only in public. The bedroom is another thing all together.
Favorite nonsexual activity: Brooklyn likes to sneak into the libraries at night to read up on anything he can get his hands on, specifically studying maps. Lottie, once she learned from Eudora, began to design and make her own dresses.
Their favorite place to be together: In the private La Bouff gardens, especially when Brooklyn sits in his chair and Lottie cuddles up to him on his lap. And they simply talk as they watch fireflies or gaze up at the night sky.
Any traditions: At Christmas, they open gifts up on Christmas Eve since Brooklyn wouldn’t be able to see them open gifts up the next day. It seems like some holidays are shifted to the nights for Brooklyn to spend time with them. And then there’s flying. At least twice a month, Brooklyn takes Charlotte out for a soar through the night sky over New Orleans.
Their “song”: They’re divided over this—Charlotte chose the upbeat Boswell Sister’s “Everybody loves my baby” while Brooklyn chose the soothing song by Jimmy Hughes’s “I Can’t Believe You’re In Love With Me”. But he also makes note that “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Elton John is a nice touch but she doesn’t understand.
What they do for each other on holidays: Brooklyn would save up for some nice jewelry for her birthday and Christmas, Lottie would wait until night to celebrate anything with Brooklyn.
Where did they go for their honeymoon: The Phoenix Gate would be generous enough to drop them off in Italy. Brooklyn would have been weary but Charlotte’s ecstatic to spend place in the country of love, just like Romeo and Juliet!
Where did they first meet: They met in the shadows of New Orleans along Bourbon Street. She thought he was a drunk that hid in the shadows and he was scared to even come out of the light.
Any pets: After Stella passes away, Brooklyn grumpily proceeds to get her another dog. This time it would be a King Cavalier Spaniel named “Prince” that adores Lottie and seems to like hanging off of Brooklyn’s tail by his teeth. But then on a trip to Ancient China from the Phoenix Gate, Brooklyn returns with a Mandarin-Lion Gargoyle-Dog by the name of Mu-Lan that he takes a liking to.
What do they fight over: Insignificant things like parties. Charlotte would have love for him to join but Brooklyn, still weary of people, would try to sneak out which would have upset Lottie. And most likely each-other. While Brooklyn’s not the type to get jealous, he is possessive enough when he sees her with other guys and she gets jealous over the girls that show interest in him. Including other female gargoyles.
Do they go on vacations, if so where: Once in a while but they’re vacations are kinda sporadic. Sometimes, Charlotte joins him on his adventures with the Phoenix Gate. And while it’s not as relaxing as she would have liked it, she enjoys being with Brooklyn all the same…even in life or death situations.

{♥}—- ”You’re gorgeous.” She pulled her hands back, keeping from putting anymore coverup on his skin that he already had. While he was still an extremely pale young man, she couldn’t help but like how he truly looked. “Ya don’t need ta put all this on. It’s your choice an all, but suga’, bein’ true ta yourself I think is always best. Like I said you’re gorgeous.”
He couldn't help himself, he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around the female. She was the sweetest person he had ever met and her words assured that. The brunet sniffed. He could feel tears stinging at his eyes. Burying his face into the crook of her neck, a few tears managed to escape but he blinked them away. "You're the nicest person ever Lottie."
"You're a monster!"
Put “You’re a monster!” for my character’s reaction.
Brooklyn lowered his hand, his eyes now suddenly found the floor very appealing. Much better than the frightened young woman in front of him. Why wouldn't she be afraid? He had swooped in unexpectedly onto her balcony and with the type of religious zeal in the South, he probably looked the closest thing to Lucifer. His wings unclasped from his shoulders as he finally looked up.
"You’re right. But watch out for the wolves in sheep’s clothing."
And with that, Brooklyn fell from the ledge. Twisting his body, the wind from his fall picked him up and into the sky. He didn’t care where he went. All he knew was that he needed to be alone.
