Graham looked idly around Phoenix's place. He hadn't been there before now. They'd struck a sort of companionship amongst each other and this was one of a few times they'd gotten together after Graham caught Phoenix sketching him on Cove Beach.
Phoenix's place had a certain quality about it which told Graham an artist might live there. If one didn't know that from looking at Phoenix's place then it could certainly be ascertained by the drawing which Graham now had pulled out for him by the host in question. He swallowed as he observed the shading and the lines. It was beautifully done, even if not premeditated. Or perhaps because it hadn't been planned. That may have allowed for the better capturing of the living moment. Graham blinked, wondering what Phoenix saw when he looked at that. "You're very good," he said. "Have you had any shows anywhere?" Certainly Phoenix's work merited a show. Graham wondered what other forms of art they created.
He sipped at some water he'd been given. "Or do you just sketch every man you come across on the beach and keep it for yourself?" Graham gave a cheeky look to Phoenix, peering back down at the sketch and taking it in hand. "How much?" he asked. His intent was to frame it. It struck him. Graham wanted to be able to peer at it any time he liked.
