Spring was almost upon the castle and the snow had gradually begun to melt, the dripping like rainfall down the stone exterior. Vegas sat contentedly within Professor Quigley’s classroom, sunshine warming her cheeks and glistening off her golden tresses as she leaned over the borrowed text. She flexed and curled delicate arches in her soles without thinking, enamored with the notes she was taking. Defensive charms, her new-found weapon of choice.

It was the sound of footsteps that drew her attention away from her curling script, only just recognizing the sound as he ambled into the room. A warm smile graced her lips.

“I tried organizing the stack over there for you, it was left quite a mess...I’m not sure he’s actually in there but I didn’t dare bother him.”
