Send ✿ for a happy memory.
It was a rather long time ago but she distinctively remembers her father finally taking her with him as he went out for the evening. She had been begging for months and he had finally given in. Her hand in his they wore coats with hoods pulled over to conceal their faces, he lead her to a little play park behind some old worn out flats where for some time they sat on the swings and simply waited. He asked how her day had been and she began to mumble on as children did about her days story. She went on about how Mother had begun to teach her to read and count and she would recite her favourite stories to him as he listened keenly with a patient and loving smile. Eventually their talk was broken by the footsteps of a young woman walking down the path. It was over so quick she had barely any time to see how her father moved. The womans corpse lay lifeless on the ground with no sign of pain or struggle on her body but a simple and accurate twist of her neck. It was almost beautiful how precise it all was. Quickly grabbing black bags from his pocket he cut up the corpse and placed it tightly packed and once again they head back home. It was such a twisted memory but everything about that moment Shizuka treasures.

One of his rare "days off" from training (or more like banned by Banjou-san who was deeply concerned for his health), Kaneki had found himself in a small coffee shop a well ways away from his usual haunting grounds. He had done an impromptu book shopping trip before coming in to grab a cup of coffee, and now he was cracking open one of the newest Takatsuki Sen novel with a warm cup of coffee by his side. Kaneki tore his eye away from the book when he heard the chair across him scrape across the floor. "U-uta-san! Hi," he said, surprise colouring his voice. He didn't expect to see someone familiar here.
