Nyx is standing close to Luche’s side, one hand raised to play with Leila’s hand. The little girl is just grabbing randomly, refusing to let go of his finger once she has it and giggling when he wiggles his finger in her hand. He glances up at the smile on Luche’s lips then back down to Leila.

“She’s got your smile too.”

The reflex is automatic; Tredd grabs Luche’s wrist, keeping that blade from coming closer to him. “The fuck’re you doing?” he hisses.

Brown eyes widened in surprise as Luche’s mouth covered his, but Tredd quickly wrapped his arms around the other Glaive, holding him close as he deepened the kiss.

A very small smile played at Nyx’s lip as Luche both praised and scolded him.  It had been a stupid move, charging into that platoon of MTs, but he had also successfully retrieved the downed glaive that would have otherwise been killed if he hadn’t gone back.   Hard to feel any remorse for that, and Nyx wouldn’t even pretend to try.

“Understood.” Was all he said instead, knowing full well he’d do it again in a heartbeat if the situation arose.

The only reason Sonitus didn’t slam on the brakes was because of the children in the back of the truck.

“Uncle Soni?” asked Tait, hunching in on himself.

Sonitus flashed him the okay sign to reassure him, then parked the truck and jumped out. He bolted for the body he’d spied – it was Luche Lazarus, and he looked…

He dropped to his knees beside him without bothering to stop, ignoring the pain to listen closely.

    ‘Well, there’s a first time for everything.’ Axis signed and smiled before he got up on the tips of his toes to reach Luche’s lips and pressed a kiss to them. The gentle pitter patter of rain on the pavement served as a wonderful symphony for their affection.

He can buy them more time.

Power bubbles in his throat and in his mouth and as Sonitus steps into the path of the raging daemon, he realises Luche has never heard him sing.

Luche enters Loqi's room with a curious expression on his face. He's been called here suddenly, and he knows better than to decline a request from Loqi, (as if he'd even want to in the first place - when Loqi calls, things tend to get interesting). "You wanted to see me?" - - lxzarus

He’d called for Luche almost an hour ago. The Brigadier General was getting antsy, frustrated with the wait for something he’d cleared his schedule for. Still. He was here, and that’s what mattered. 

“Come take a seat. And lock the door behind you.”
