God Lydia the bard is a genius and Siren gave me a fun idea I really want to explore now for Lucy. One thing I’ve seen a little bit but not many people do in their fics, is expand on what silver keys can do a bit and limit what’s available to summoners through the contracts. There’s one fic I can’t remember the name of that involved Lucy meeting with Selene (seline?) that involved her getting Polaris and making magic train tracks with that contract to help people get away from deliora. I really liked that one. But I want to go in to Lyra.

Lyra with power that can intensify the emotions of whoever hears her sing, but typically whatever song she sings reflects who is currently feeling emotional the strongest. But, what if she could change the emotions of targets who hear her songs? What if she could induce mania or turn groups of enemies against their own comrades with just a tune? (Also if she actually had a lyre instead of a harp)

I was also thinking of Lucy and her anger issues, and Aquarius being Lucy’s mother figure and taking after her. In my mind Lucy does have specific affinities and the elements the zodiacs represent, but her greatest affinity of the four elements is water (yes I know Aquarius is an air element but still!) (cancer and Aquarius are literally her parents I will not believe otherwise) with fire being second strongest, earth being her third, and air being her weakest affinity.

In this idea when Lucy and her silver key spirits update and improve contracts, the spirits want to give her more abilities from them because she was gifted star dress and they want to help her improve her defense massively.

Crux, who’s responsible for information gathering and sharing, increases the amount of information he can share with her within reason. In my mind he’s the archivist of the celestial world and there are certain things he can’t share with mortals but he can share more than normal with her if the situation calls for it. He also studies star dress and acts as a sort of guide though he’s learning what they do alongside Lucy (because this was an entire new territory of celestial magic no one has seen before, and this was given by the king to a mortal, who knows what else they can do or what effect sharing the magic power will have on the human body), and helps her with side effects.

For some spirits don’t exactly do Star dress but can give her bits of their power as long as she draws energy through their key. Horologium gives her minor time manipulation in the form of increasing her time or slowing it down to a degree around her opponents.

Pixis already helps her stay on point and never get lost ( whenever natsu says she got lost again it’s just pixis taking her down a different route to the same place. This typically means safer or longer routes because he has anxiety and constantly worries about danger and wants to avoid it as much as possible.) but he’s shares his knowledge of the landscape with her and shows her mental maps of areas and such that he’s been to. As long as he’s been there before there will be a map, but the maps depend on whatever time period he was there and need to be updated be her going there to see how the landscape has changed.

For Lyra, she shares her voice ability to manipulate another’s actions with song. These abilities and spells can be used in tandem with star dresses as long as she’s focusing on drawing the necessary magic through the keys.

This all started because I was listening to siren and imagining Lucy having a valid crash out and looking lowkey insane, using Aquarius’s powers to cause tsunamis and such and using lyras singing ability in tandem against her enemies to guarantee her win and they stood no chance.

I am unsure if Plue should or would extend and add to the contract. He is already basically her therapy dog. (He is literally a dog spirit but because he’s also a sentient being it just feels wrong to say but also feels like the best way to say it? Emotional support spirit???) so I don’t know what I would have him expand on in a contract.

This is fun I need to think how to incorporate this in my fics.
