I used to want you dead, but now | Lydinyk | Chapter 1 | [Final words]
He listened to the people around him. It was pretty much a universal decision that he was going to die. Good. He wanted it to be that way. But to say it didn't hurt was a lie. He decided to take his answers in turn. First was Hideo.
"You don't understand anything... And that's probably for the best. But no- The world would not have been based off murder. It would have been based off my ideals, My deepest desires... This was just a means to an end."
He didn't sound happy to say that. Not one bit. He didn't like it. He didn't like what he felt like he had to do. To say he felt regret though... Even he wasn't sure. He did what he felt was right for his goals- What was necessary.
"Also, Gingham. I did promise I'd tell you a story once we left, and I'll be sure to keep true to that- I never lied about being a storyteller, if anything, it's more true than anything! But I don't have a story for you right now- Not one that I could tell in the amount of time we have left at least... I never once wrote down a story I told, but I do have one written story. It's in my inner pocket outside."
He patted his had over his chest, where the pocket would be located.
"If I'm not alive, you can have that... I'm sorry."
And that much was done. There was at least one person who wanted to know the rest of the murder though, so that came next.
"Travis was your name, correct? You wanted to know how it happened? Let's see. After I angered her, I used the Flipindo spell to knock a desk in her way and ran. There was never a struggle in the sense you all seemed to be looking for. And I guess she climbed over the desk losing her shoe in the process- It only makes sense, I didn't actually see it- I only needed my distance. After rounding a couple of corners and making it to the stairs, I used the Aguamenti charm to make a slick spot, but that was when she caught up and threw her shoe at me."
He gave a half-hearted laugh.
"A military trained officer in a world with magic and she fights by throwing her shoe at me... But no, she hit me in the knee... I still have a bruise there- If you had listened to Popiko-san you would have found me out! But that knocked me over, and as I fell, she cast Petrificus Totalus. She could have ended it all right there, but she didn't have the conviction to kill me. She took the floo powder and slipped- Like I said, and you said earlier. Nobody pushed her, she slipped down the stairs. She must have hit her head on the first step and rolled the rest of the way- I'm not too sure, I couldn't move or see her. But when the curse was broken I knew she was dead."
"It was dark, and I didn't see the dying message... As for her spellbook... If I had to make a guess as to where it was it's likely in my trunk. If anybody had checked there, this would have all been over immediately... Or maybe not! You may all have thought it too obvious, thought that someone else in the Slytherin house stuck it in there. Maybe you did better not finding it! Who knows."
And with that, Lydinyk gave a heavy sigh. He still had one thing to say, and if he was going to say it, he would say it now.
"It's funny though, isn't it? Even in death, I'll still be changing the world- Or should I say, I'd start turning the gears towards new world order. After all..."
"I don't think you'll all be forgetting me any time soon!~"
V for Victory. What a little shit.
