Noa had just been arriving back home for the night. Her keys in hand as she headed up the stairs to her apartment since the elevator tended to smell like vomit in the late nights. Most likely thanks to man on the 5th floor who couldn’t hold his liquor and apparently got motion sickness really easily. Arriving at her floor she pushed the door open that led to the apartments beyond. Usually she was the only one in the hall at this hour, but as she walked into the hall she spotted Esmat just a few steps ahead of her. “Late night, Mati?” Noa asked, her voice penetrating the silence that had once occupied the hall. As always, her voice somehow managed to hold a light teasing quality to it, playful almost. @matisaid
