âThat is a good point, but how do you really know if you want someone in your life or not unless you give them a chance to be?â Noaâs own losses with the people who meant the most to her came to mind as she spoke. Thinking about the family she had been temporarily disowned by. It had been so many years since she had seen them, but not a day went by that she didnât think of them or miss them wondering what life would have been like had she gone back home when her father had told her to. âI get being guarded, reclusive, or whatever you want to call it. I might be friendly, but that doesnât mean every person I meet is someone I really let in. I guess I just get what itâs like to be lonely sometimes. Iâd like to think that sometimes, me being friendly might sometimes help others to feel less lonely.â She explained, a very soft yet sincere smile gracing her plump lips.
âIâm pretty good in judging people, havenât done much else in ages..â, Jake simply replied. It had basically been a big part of his job for years so, even though it probably didnât seem like it right now, most times he could instantly tell what kind of person someone was and if he wanted that in his life or not. And most of the time that answer was no. Simply as that. âWell, Iâm not lonely so why donât you just go and find some other project and help them feel less lonely. Pretty sure theyâll appreciate it!â, giving her a pretty sarcastic smile, the man turned back towards his drink and downed the rest of it.
"Project." Noa repeated with a laugh. The laugh hardly held any humor, though, it was more of a snort than anything. "I don't see people as projects. Or some object to entertain myself until the next comes along." She turned back away from him, lifting her drink to down the rest of it as he had with his own. She set the empty glass back upon the top of the bar, her buzz making it much easier for her to tolerate the moody man beside her. "You might be able to read other people, but you don't seem to be able to get a read on yourself if you don't think you're lonely." @mrjakewilson

âMaybe.â She began, partially agreeing with the man for what might have been the first time since the two had begun talking. Noa was nothing if not persistent, though. Sometimes more than others, especially when it came to meeting someone she couldnât quite get an accurate read on. Her ability to read people based upon their behaviors, tone of voice, even just the look in their eyes all thanks to the family she had been raised in. If the Cortez family wasnât heavily involved in the Cartel, they would have made excellent detectives. âI think everyone likes to keep by themselves occasionally, some more than others, but doesnât everyone get lonely sometimes, too?â She asked, head tilting just slightly to the side as she asked this.
âEven if that was the case, doesnât mean that only because one is lonely that you have to surround yourself with people you wouldnât want in your life under other circumstances..â, Jake countered with a shrug. Partly because he really thought about it this way, partly because he didnât want to admit that he indeed was a little lonely once in a while. But in the end it was still better than losing someone else who he was close to. And that, at least he was pretty convinced of it, would happen sooner or later. It had always been like this in his life after all.

âMaybe I just like to keep by myself..â, Jake countered, raising his eyebrows as well. Something that wasnât even a complete lie. Not that he necessarily wanted to be alone most of the time but looking at what had happened to most people he had been close to, it was probably better this way. âBelieve it or not, not everybody wants to make new friends all the time!â

Always a late night. Esmat had a tendency to come and go at odd hours, but then again, so did most people in that particular complex. The building catered to certain types of people, he thought from just observing. Not that he observed all that often. He was coming home from work and a few errands, camera bag on his shoulder and equipment in both hands. Heâd almost reached his door when he heard a voice in the otherwise quiet hallway â Noa, he recognized the voice quickly. He liked Noa, so he stopped in his tracks and turned around.
âI could say the same,â he started, an eyebrow raised. âItâs passed your bedtime, I think.â
Laughing, Noa shook her head. âPassed my bed time? Oh no, my night is just beginning.â Playfully, she winked at the man, having reached her own door just across the hall from his. With her keys already in her hand she pushed the door key into the lock and then gave it a twist to unlock the door. Removing the key she turned the knob on the door to begin opening it, before she slipped inside, however she looked back at Esmat. âIf itâs not passed your bedtime, you should come give me some company after you drop your things off inside. No one is ever up this late anymore. I get lonely.â Noaâs voice was laced with her accent, still holding that playful flirty quality. @matisaid

Jake simply rolled his eyes, not wanting to say too much and so give her another way to annoy him. Instead the man downed the rest of his drink when he saw that she was ordering two more. âItâs not like I couldnât pay for those myself though!â, he countered with a shrug before eying her again from the side. âHavenât you got any friends though, so that youâre paying drinks for people who donât even want your company..?!â
âAre you always this much of an asshole to someone who is trying to be nice to you? Or do you just have a major stick shoved up your ass tonight?â Noa asked an eyebrow raised as she questioned the man. Grabbing the newly filled drink that she had ordered, Noa took a drink from the glass and then glanced back over at Jake. âI have plenty of friends, but I like making more.â @mrjakewilsonâ

Noa is such a slut. Go carry your diseases somewhere else.
We do not slut shame here Anon.Â
Noa is living her best live and making more money than most of us shaking what her mama gave her.
You go Noa.. Four for you Noa girl!

@anon, thank you for the fanmail, sign your name next time, honey. đ
Noa had just been arriving back home for the night. Her keys in hand as she headed up the stairs to her apartment since the elevator tended to smell like vomit in the late nights. Most likely thanks to man on the 5th floor who couldnât hold his liquor and apparently got motion sickness really easily. Arriving at her floor she pushed the door open that led to the apartments beyond. Usually she was the only one in the hall at this hour, but as she walked into the hall she spotted Esmat just a few steps ahead of her. âLate night, Mati?â Noa asked, her voice penetrating the silence that had once occupied the hall. As always, her voice somehow managed to hold a light teasing quality to it, playful almost. @matisaid

Trained to hide his fears even when they were drowning him, Elias grinned pitifully before gaining strength of the forced feat and was able to control the intensity of it. âHey,â he said quietly, brow furrowed. âNothingâs wrong,â he clarified before pushing his way into the apartment and headed for the liquor cabinet. He pulled out his favorite whiskey and turned the bottle up to savor the amber medicine. âJust needed a drink,â he mumbled in a huff as he pulled it away from his lips. âGot any food?â @noa-cortezâ
Noaâs penetrating gaze locked on Elias. She didnât believe for even a second that nothing was wrong. She knew this man better than anyone else, they had been in each others lives for far too long. Since Noa had just been a little girl and the Chavez boys would come to hangout with the Cortez boys. Their age difference might have kept them from forming a bond back then, but now, that was different. âYouâre a decent liar, but not when it comes to trying to lie to me, vato.â Noa said matter-of-factly before she nodded. âYeah, in the fridge, help yourself and then you can tell me whatâs really going on.â @elias-chavezâ
oakleypierceâ:
âIâŠI should be here though iâm not meant to come into places like this. They are sinners places, I just thought it was a normal barâŠâ She stuttered, backing away a little bit which was thank goodness easier thanks to them being in the VIP section rather than the busy section downstairs. âIt is different, people are looking at you while you take your clothes off. I have to go, this isnât okay, I have to go. I canât be here.â She started to panic.Â
Noa was taken aback by the girls words, sinners place. She hadnât ever heard such a thing in reference to the club, not since the last time she spoke with her abuela about the profession she had chosen for herself. She wasnât offended, however, instead when she stood from where she had been sitting, abandoning her drink on the table, she was the picture of ease. She extracted some bills from the purse she was carrying and then placed them on the table before turning to Oakley. âCome on.â She said, gently taking Oakley by the arm. She led her down a different set of stairs than the ones they had come up and out of the door at the end that let them out into the parking lot. âBreathe. Slowly. I really donât need you passing out on me. Itâs okay, youâre not in the sinners place anymore.â Noa said, trying not to laugh at the last bit. @oakleypierceâ
Noa leaned forward so that her back was no longer pressing against his chest, and for a moment it seemed as if she might have been abandoning his lap entirely, but that was not the case. She only left his lap vacant long enough to switch her position, crawling back into his lap, this time facing the man. Her fingers gently glided up either side of his neck, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake while her hips pressed down against his, grinding herself against his erection. "Mm." She hummed in approval, her hands slid back down his neck so that they could move down his chest and down further over his abdomen not stopping until they reached the belt that was buckled around his waist. As she began to unbuckle it, her amber orbs met his and, although it was abundantly clear from her actions, she still gave a verbal response. "Oh yes, papi. I want it." Noa purred, her words a heavily accented whisper, her lips so close to his that with each word they nearly brushed one another already.
mrjakewilsonâ:
âGod knows, but if your intentions are trying to annoy me then congratulations!â, Jake countered with a pretty sarcastic smile on his lips before taking another sip of his drink. He clearly still was way too sober for all of this, especially when he heard that the woman obviously even found talking to him interesting. Which would mean the chance that sheâd just go away again any time soon was pretty small. âGood for you, the chance of that would have been zero percent anyway!â
âThose werenât originally my intentions, but now that I know annoying you seems to be something Iâm managing to do pretty well, I suppose that will just have to be my end game.â Noa said before taking another drink from the glass in her hand, since it was nearly finished she motioned for the bartender again, when the man came their way she smiled at him greeting him by name. âGo ahead and keep them coming, Vin. Same for the grumpy man next to me, too.â She said, motioning to the man beside her with a little nod of her head. When the bartender left to make them another round of drinks, she finished off the glass she held. âI might be annoying to you, but at least youâll end up drunk, too.âÂ

No matter if she had taken one shot or five, she could always feel when the men she danced for were becoming aroused. Some feeling less impressive pressing against her ass, others feeling quite impressive, Eli seemed to be falling into that category. Never in the years that she had worked in such an industry had she ever let anyone who was considered a customer cross any lines with her or dared to cross those lines herself. In her mind, once wouldn't hurt anything. She knew some of the other girls would sell more than just a show to certain customers, but Noa was different. She never did anything she didn't want to, and therefore, she would never require payment for anything she indulged in beyond dancing.
The compliments that rolled off the man's tongue weren't uncommon, but in a sense different, much more rare than the other things she was called. Guided back by the hard grip of his hands on her waist, Noa pushed the curve of her ass even harder against him, feeling the reaction of his cock instenaneously. That made her smirk, releasing her lip from the hold of her teeth. Which is why when he gently tugged upon her earlobe and then breathed that whisper against her neck, the pleasure laced noise managed to break free. "Trinity is three rooms down, but other than that, yes. It's just us." Noa confirmed.
Once speaking the words the woman leaned her head back against the man's shoulder so that she could turn it in towards him her lips managing to brush against his jawline as she spoke. "What do you have in mind, mi rey?" @eli-baur
