Yeah :( but luckily the Victorian era has no shortage of eccentric mourning practices that actually happened!! Just be wary and critical of the sources you read— the Internet is in love with the Wacky Victorian aesthetic and indulge in myths(like lachrymatory) or heavily emphasize things that actually happened but maybe not as frequently as we think (post mortem photography)

Hey, many thanks for doing the translates! I was wondering do you have a reference sheet (that you'd be willing to share) with the font used in the game? Because of the huge difference little serifs in handwriting makes, the alphabets in different fonts out there aren't really helping, and I'd like to be Alternifluent by the time Act 2 comes out.

Not yet, but I was thinking of putting one together. I got started with this chart by Yuurg on Reddit, but Dammek’s handwriting has some quirky differences to it.
