Hey, anyone remember this scene?
And remember season 4 when Sherlock did drugs and John didn't believe him.

Season 4 Episode 2, “The Lying Detective”
Minimal Greg Lestrade, and what he does is purely functional in his role as the police officer Sherlock, John, and we know best.
56:44 - 56:46, 57:01 - 57:06 58:07 - 58:12, 59:49 - 1:00:32, 1:00:58 - 1:01:11, In cutaways, Lestrade is interrogating John about Sherlock attacking Culverton Smith in the morgue, and John confesses, "I really hit him, Greg. Hit him hard."
1:12:10 - 1:12:19 Greg is on the phone with John as the latter speeds to the hospital.
1:17:50 - 1:18:34 Lestrade is taking Smith's confession, looking exhausted and disgusted.
To make up for the minimal appearances, here are some lovely screenshots of Lestrade in this episode made by the utterlywholocked Screenshot Project.
His Last Vow || The Lying Detective
Sherlock & Drugs
John and Molly both slapped Sherlock in a “Pull yourself together. I am so mad and concerned about you,” way at first... but they continued on.
They’re both angry about their current relationship status. Molly lost her fiancé and John lost his wife. Both of them blame Sherlock for this. Molly’s engagement broke because the one whom she really loves came back, and that happens to be Sherlock. John’s wife died because she died protecting someone else, and that happens to be Sherlock.
In both scenes, Sherlock had been left on his own for a long period of time — a month in His Last Vow, and two or three weeks in The Lying Detective. In a sense, he already felt abandoned by his friends and so he resorted to his old friend — drugs.
And upon rediscovered, he is now thrown with blame, guilt, and shame.
Give him a break, guys.
I’ll be honest, I’ve been staying far away from anything BBC Sherlock related since the...problematic mess of triggers that was season 4. But I say something about Mycroft today and I just, I had to write this. So.
Mycroft Holmes deserved so much better, he broke our hearts in this season, and for everyone and anyone who discounts the horrific and incredibly dangerous crimes Eurus has committed-yes, I’m looking at you John...she tried to blow you up! She murdered innocent children!! She went near your daughter!! WFT!!-anyway, for those who say Mycroft’s actions weren’t justified, or that Eurus deserved better, or whatever, just...seriously??? What was Mycroft supposed to do at the age of what, 14?? I know that this is a show that has made an art form of victim blaming, victim bashing, glorifying violence, depicting torture and assault as fun, pretending attempted murder, actual murder isn’t a big deal, depicting an abuse victim as the one at fault, depicting mental illness at alternatively a joke and a monstrosity, depicted horrific violence, the assault of a torture victim, the vicious aggravated assault of an extremely ill person as justified, or funny, or even worse, completely inconsequential. And seriously, sorry for the rant but I just, had to say something.
Violence and physical and psychological torture, among friends and family or complete strangers, is never okay, funny, justified, or even remotely worthy of being glorified as somehow entertaining. Also, can we stop using the Holmes brothers as punching bags fore the horrific crime of being smart and different. Please??
god i love sherlock so fucking much what a troll
UM
Is no one seriously going to talk about how Sherlock has double kidney failure? How Molly gave him weeks to live? How he openly said he was going on a downward spiral and wasn't coming back up? no big deal... I'm just over here worried that he is actually going to die.
Sherlock Holmes is my spirit animal
