Lyla Foy - 1st October 2015
For a project that began as a single song in a London bedroom, Lyla Foy’s hypnotically hushed songs have come quite a long way over the past years, figuratively and literally, as her unity with Sub Pop finds her spending quality time supporting Mirrors the Sky across the globe. Funny how taking a singular route has led to such a momentous journey.
Having been in the studio over the last six months working on new recordings, she is back with a special intimate performance at The Courtyard Theatre in London on 1st October 2015. The show will feature a lot of new material, which will comprise her next release.

Lyla Foy - Glow In The Dark
From Lyla Foy’s new EP UMi is this gem. The refrain is just so, ugh, perfect. If one could gasp internally, I think I might have the first time heard it. Really digging the different sonic palette she adds to the folk format while not detracting from the emotive force of the songs. So amped to see her play on Tuesday.
Lyla Foy - Beginning It All Again
One of the few albums I consistently return to is Lyla Foy’s Mirrors In The Sky. Her brand of indie folk has such an intimate feel coupled with playful melodies, electronic embellishments and a variety of tempos & meters. This new track off her forthcoming EP, UMi, is a lovely blend of folk and soul, especially Foy’s vocal melody, something for your inner voice to sing along to. Just beautiful.
9.11.14 another 9/11 and I still remember it. Though I was in mexico it still seemed surreal to me. School was school and I know that I'm participating more without knowing lol. I really enjoy walking... I can't be a outspoken person if I don't do what I say. These kids are cute, Daniels birthday and Gabriel running around so cute. Highlight: going to the library to get more books. The Deptford Trilogy and uncollected poems by Anne Sexton... This one I feel weird reading since she didn't really give it a go. #LylaFoy #Impossible and yeah I heard this song in Bojack Horseman and I felt bad for Princess Carolyn. I feel this show...
