What! Posting soft Billy tonight? Woohoo!

YES MY DARLING. I’m up over 8k right now and am *close* to finishing, but I’ve come across sexy times and for some reason I SLOW WAY DOWN when it comes to smut, and I’m already a slow writer, so this may or may not be ready tonight. Post-s3, everything’s still the same except Billy lives and decides to move out of the house, and the story that’s been told to everyone is that Billy’s a hero who saved 11 kids and 2 adults from the Starcourt Mall explosion.

It’s basically 8k of Billy crying and different people comforting him lol

LMAO BB, I LOVE YOU. Nah, I haven’t gotten one of those weird comments, but I know of several harringrove authors who have. Comments are a great place to say something as simple as I LOVED IT or go into detail about specific lines or characterizations or things that worked for you as a reader, etc. 

I feel like it’s an unspoken rule that it’s not appropraite to leave unsolicited crticism unless an author specifically asks for it -- but to me that seems rare because once it’s up, it’s PUBLISHED so like that’s that on that.

Oh, #25 please! What short paragraph are you especially proud of?

Ahhh thank you, Lynn!!! I want to choose something I haven’t already posted so here’s a scene from the someday-I-swear-I’ll-fix-and-post-this Pre-reform AU. It’s not a short paragraph, but it is a paragraph, haha.

Sarek carries himself like a beast set to pounce as he strides the length of the wide room to the wall of hanging weapons, his footsteps soundless on the woven mat of the floor. Spock follows less enthusiastically, watching his father take a lirpa from the selection, leaving an empty space and many options for Spock to choose from. Having not yet decided how best to counter his father’s anger, which weapon he might use, Spock waits for Sarek to turn around. When he does, his eyes are hard, biting, and Spock recognizes he may be lucky that Sarek has not lunged at him already. “Your weapon, Spock,” Sarek says icily, gesturing to the wall.

T! And how often do you work those headcanons into your writing?

Thank you so much, Lynn!!! I answered T, but I didn’t answer the second part of your question so I’ll happily do that here! :D 

I think I integrate all my headcanons into all of my writing, honestly! I work with a pretty established set of “rules” when it comes to all my favorite characters, so no matter what I’m writing I’ve got it in the back of my head that, say, Jim’s still a little fucked up by Tarsus. Or that Spock thinks about kissing Jim once every 3.25 seconds (even on the job! Scandalous! Even before they’re together! Extra scandalous!) Or any number of things! So even if I don’t explicitly state a headcanon, you can bet it’s usually there! <3
