really like this photo of my cat where it looks like she’s trying to kill me with her mind powers
The Killer
lynx has been on a path of godzilla level destruction lately and my hope is that once she reaches 2 years, maturity will settle her down a lot more. it’s tough dealing with her being so frustrated all the time bcuz she expects constant play time and constant stimulation and i 1) can’t give her that 2) am not going to give her that. i don’t WANT her to think that when she’s bored, i will just get up and entertain her every time. i want her to learn to entertain herself too. averi and i play with her a lot during the day don’t get me wrong but it’s one of those things where she seems wiped and u sit down and she gets up and immediately breaks something, so you get back up and do it over again, and that’s just the cycle. i feel like im just floundering in the dark with a hard cat not knowing what to do cuz cat behaviorists don’t do “settle” like dog behaviorists do. settle is my best friend! what do i do without it! we r trying to learn how to do this together for the first time.
she’s going to the vet today for some shots and a check up, so my best idea right now is leash training. i’ve been waiting for her next round of shots to ask to get her outside shots and some more flea/tick meds and after that i can let her go out with me, safely, since she gets upset and screams at me when i leave and she can’t go out the door with me

i tried a lick mat for lynx to try and keep her from eating too fast and hurling, esp since spruce eats extremely slow and she likes to try and steal food, but half her problem is that she immediately starts jumping on and off high places like counters after she eats and that seems to trigger it for her. i cant keep her from doing that + a decent amount of her food gets stuck in the mat and cats get small enough portions i dont want her to miss out on an extra mouthful or two altogether. so mission unsuccessful for now.. but im keeping the lick mat for future foster kittens. its too small for a future puppy/dog or fosters, unless the puppy is a chihuahua lol
