Behold my epic regret- I neglected to get a photo of this guy before his ultimate molt. He was SO bright and colorful, with these ridiculously red legs. It seems that now he has matured his colors have dulled somewhat. I’ll still get him out for real photos this weekend. Amazing spider either way. Photography has taught me a lot and literally opened my eyes and heart. #repost @gomacrode ・・・ One of the most beautiful and biggest Lynx spiders you can find in South Africa is 'Peucetia viridans'. It has, as the name suggests, an intense green colour. The legs are typically striped and have strong spikes. They are extremely fast and can also jump - making them very effective predators that lurk on plants and flowers and ambush their prey rather than building webs.
