Just as she’d stood up, her world goes dark again- an arrow sinking deep into her back, the pain and shock forcing her to collapse once again. The party hardly bats an eye, too distracted are they with their own fights- yet someone notices.

Lumin clings to her fading consciousness, finding herself picked up from the grass and held protectively in pale arms. He says something, or yells it, to the rest of the party- just before another arrow flies through the air, wedging itself in her already injured shoulder.

She’s not awake to see the third arrow, aimed straight for her head, miss its target as Lyrei shields her- taking the hit himself. It catches him in the neck, she finds out later when she awakens after the battle- still held in the now unconscious mans grasp. He’d saved her life, nearly killing himself as well in the process.. and yet the first thing he asks once she manages to stabilize him is if she’s alright. It’s odd to her, to have someone ask that- but he’s always seemed to be unlike any folk she knew before...

Been watching a friend play through Dragon Age Origins and we’ve decided his City Elf rogue Lyrei and my old Mage Elf Lilas are totally sisters separated as wee-ones and reunited when Lyrei became a warden and found Lilas at the mage tower during the Broken Circle quest...

So now the paranoid and skeptical mage is being drug along by her obsessive hoarder sister who spends most of her time collecting rare items and teaching her mage friends to cook lyrium potions en masse for profit...
