The Wolf's Fang aka Solas' Lyrium Dagger

I don't know why I find it so hilarious that Solas has a dagger in the regret prison. Like I said in this previous post - Solas is not sitting in regret prison twiddling his thumbs just waiting to talk to Rook. He's cooking plan A, plan B, plan C - he's doing trials and failing them. He's trying everything including making his own fake dagger I guess? I get these are previous game assets discarded but it's just funny to me to think of Solas pacing his prison, restless and trying everything he possibly can to get the hell out of that cage.
Let's play a game, what reasons could there be as to why Solas would create his own fake dagger?
Who has two thumbs and completely fucked up what was supposed to be a simple dagger? This dumbass!
Previously, the Caretaker could not only enchant and upgrade equipment, but also upgrade the lyrium dagger. In the game, these upgrades are available by default.
For example, new slots for runes were available in their store. Volta studio posted various concepts on ArtStation last year, including unused UI artwork. You can see an image of the dagger there.
Other interactions with the dagger were also available through upgrades. The files still have a description of the deleted interface for this.
Allows Rook to use Companion Exploration. Actions when they are not in the party. Upgrade the Dagger at the Caretaker in the Lighthouse to unlock: - The Eternal: Altars of the Evanuris - The Wolf: Fen'Harel Altars - The Timelost: Timelost Hoards - The Old Paths: Timelost Gateways Level 1. The Eternal - Attune the Dagger to the latent magic within the Altars of the Evanuris. Activate Altars of the Evanuris. Level 2. The Wolf - Attune the Dagger to the paths once walked by the rebel Fen'Harel. Activate Fen'Harel Altars. Level 3. The Timelost - Attune the Dagger to the magic anchoring the Timelost Hoards. Timelost Hoards. Level 4. The Old Paths - Attune the Dagger to the magic anchoring the Timelost Gateways. Unlock Timelost Gateways.
In addition, the Caretaker has voice lines related to the dagger.
First Dagger Prompt Caretaker: Dweller. A tool of power returns. Hungering. First Dagger React / Dagger Unlock Caretaker: Power is a whetstone. Offer the strong. Feed the edge. Caretaker: Another fire is lit. Dagger Upgrades: Caretaker: Blood cuts dreams. Caretaker: Two hammers forge in harmony. Caretaker: Corrupted in darkness. Reforged by madness. Caretaker: A song to divide worlds. Caretaker: Dweller, shape the edge.
I also found the dagger enchant animation and triggered it, but it seems a bit raw.
It's the slow knife that cuts deepest.
