hi!!! i think that there have been some people who came from tiktok about the destiel fic that i said i was writing in the comment section and i just wanted to say HIIIII first of all and holy shit i didn’t expect people to be interested at all???

i wanted to let y’all know what it was about! so basically, it’s more or less a fix it one shot. castiel comes back (bc fuck that shit you guys), dean and cas have a movie night and they watch… brokeback mountain 🙈 for any minors that may or may not be here, there’s no smut, just feelings that spiral from them watching the movie.

it’s coming along relatively fast and i just wanted to say that i appreciate all of you guys who support writers who just write for fun. i haven’t published my writing in two years, and this has greatly inspired me to want to share again! y’all are the best

1. How many words have you written this year?

33,656 words. That's pretty okay, I think!

2. How many works did you publish this year?

7 fics of varying length, all for Kingsman (Hartwin).

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

That would be Twinjet. It took a fairly large amount of research and quite a bit of time, and I'm glad I wrote it! (It does also have an upcoming companion piece...)

4. What work of yours has the most hits?

Ain't That Pretty. It's praise kink and mirror sex, so...happy days? :)

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?

Both Twinjet and Call Me Darling count as these, I think. Twinjet was a pleasant surprise because I didn't expect others to be interested in a commercial pilot AU, and Call Me Darling was unexpectedly more popular despite being relatively well-trodden ground in the Hartwin fanfiction corpus.

6. Favorite title you used?

I got a real kick out of Gentle on Hands, Tough on Grease. For a fic charting the story of Hartwin by the contents of Harry's kitchen sink. Hehe.

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?

Remarkably, no song lyric titles this year! I must have used them all up in 2024.

8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year?

Hartwin, Hartwin, Hartwin.

9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?

Still Hartwin.

10. What work was the quickest to write?

Christmas Present, short little Christmas flash fic.

11. What work took you the longest to write?

I'm actually going to say Chapter 16 of shadows, shadows. I've taken some time to rework the outline and character maps and disparate scenes that I already have, and so this chapter really was a year in the making. I'm still working on it!

The longest time needed for a 2025 original piece is the aforementioned Twinjet, which also has the unfair advantage of being twice as long as the next contender.

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

14 WIPs. Only one of them is not Hartwin, and that's a Pacific Rim AU for Red, White, and Royal Blue that I started in 2023. Really should get back to it.

13. What’s your longest work of the year?

Twinjet at 12,186 words.

14. What’s your shortest work of the year?

Christmas Present at a tiny, tiny 428 words.

15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

...everything... Specifically, the Twinjet companion piece, which I'm hoping will be up and ready by the middle of the year.

Getting Together. I like writing confessions and Big Damn Kisses, what can I say?

17. Your favorite character to write this year?

Harry and Eggsy aside, that would be Percival in Call Me Darling. Sneaky gremlin causing problems on purpose without getting caught.

18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?

Eggsy Unwin in shadows, shadows. It's been an adventure trying to work out how someone both incredibly avoidant and incredibly in love would resolve their emotional issues.

19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?

I might want to return to FirstPrince in Red, White, and Royal Blue.

M/M, to nobody's surprise.

Really depends on the mood. I have a tendency to swing wildly between genres on any given day, but I suppose most of it would have been pop music.

Gonna pimp out certified abduction victim a little, since I wrote it for @mannersmakethzine! Do check it out, alongside the excellent work done by everyone else.

Five months pass since the end of the world, and the world keeps ending. Eggsy spends more time on jets and in hotel rooms than he does on English soil. The world keeps spinning, and with it the storms of human ambition and criminal intent keep raging. Kingsman keeps it at bay, and Eggsy keeps it together.
