You might notice that in the tags, Penny’s surname is Dreyfus, but she introduces herself as “Penelope Dreadful”. That’s her stage name, or it would be if she ever got around to performing. There is a family story that someone who didn’t know how to spell Dreyfus said the name sounded “dreadful”, which Penny thinks would make a much cooler last name. And the band’s not even steampunk.

The weird thing is the layers for “Road trip!” existed in the PSD file for this comic, but I apparently decided not to have it in the original comic for some reason.

I am. I have very mixed feelings about how little the look of changing how Cheryl’s hair was shaded looks at this scale, given the amount of work that went into it.

The Black Academy is a piece of world-building which never really comes up, but technically features in all comics set in Blevenston. It is an anti-Catholic school founded in the seventies partially as a joke that went too far and is now the better of the two high-schools in town. The uniforms look a lot like late-aughts My Chemical Romance.
