bijou: and now i feel a little bit evil

bijou: but i'm drunk and at work and still in my date dress

bijou: and rambling to you because, you know-- you're almost like a figment of my imagination-

bijou: but i'd definitely share my wine with you. all the wine.

hands tucked deep into the pockets of her white lab coat, frankie strolls through the halls of the pediatrics department.  it’s been a bit of a slow day for her, she’s discharged most of her patients and she isn’t scheduled for another surgery until later.  she wears a bright smile on her face as she walks, greeting the familiar nurses and residents, even some patients, that walk past her.  it’s a good day so far, although she’s always on a good mood but this day feels better than most.  none of her patients have died, she’s sent the healthy ones home and she’s convinced that nothing can bring her down now.  — that’s when she spots her fellow coworker by the nurses’ station too. frankie skips over to the other woman, stopping when she’s by her side and then she leans against the high counter of the nurses’ station. elbow propped up onto the surface, frankie balances her temple against her palm and grins up at the other.    ❛  good afternoon, dr. petrich. i hope that you’re having a fantastic day so far ‘cause i certainly am.   ❜

there’s a large drunken smile on her lips as she watches emmet. she’s half sure he’s completely annoyed with her now--and she can’t blame him. it’s a horrible thing to do--to make someone so unwilling her unpaid therapist. but the bar is therapeutic for her, wether he likes it or not. “if i got all cayote ugly right now-- on this bar-- do you think it could stand my weight? because i’m really tempted. pour some sugar on me deserves the cayote ugly treatment.” she takes a sip of her fourth jack and coke before wiggling the glass in his face. “want a sip?” it’ll be closing time soon-- and she doesn’t want to go home. but she’ll cross that bridge when she comes to it. “are you allowed to drink on the job? i think it might do wonders for your general disposition. look into it.”

clad in his midnight blue scrubs, jax bordeaux shrugs the white lab coat off his shoulders and hangs it onto the back of one of the chairs.  he’s in the attending’s lounge having his well-deserved break  ——  he’s just finished a six hour surgery trying to dig bullets out of a man’s stomach and repair whatever damage the ammunition had done.  least to say, the surgeon is tired and he’d kill for a cup of coffee because he knows better than to try squeezing a nap in  ( he’s convinced that the second he’d drift off, someone would page him or interrupt his nap ).  so he goes for his cup of much wanted coffee  ;  he brews himself and his colleagues a potful of coffee right as someone walks into the attending’s lounge.  jax can hear the footsteps echoing all the way from the hallway and up to the lounge, only looking up from the coffee machine when the door creaks as it’s opened.  his gaze shifts from what he’s doing to the door and he sees his damned ex wife there, and jax can practically feel the gods above laughing at the irony  ( and awkwardness )  of the situation.    ❛  made some coffee if ‘yer interested.  ❜
