This is totally out of nowhere, but I'm curious; what are your 10 favorite books of all time? <3
Hmmm, this is going to be a long answer, so sorry in advance.
Here are my 10 favourite books of all time (in no particular order):
"A walk to remember" - Nicholas Sparks. Back when I was in my romance era, I read a lot of his stuff. This one tho was the first book ever to make me cry like a baby. I actually love this one, not the usual cheesy stuff u get with novels, great story.
"Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring" - J.R.R. Tolkien. The first-ever big fantasy book to knock me out. I love it so much. Although I haven't read others from the trilogy, I'm trying to. But this one is incredible, as you'd expect.
"Everything is fucked: A book about Hope" & "The subtle art of not giving a fuck: A counterintuitive approach to living a good life" - Mark Manson. These 2, I always recommend to everybody. They're very realistic approaches to help improve your life. Not the usual bullshit you get with the so-called self-help books (these aren't btw but kind of close), but a version of it that actually makes sense, with advice you can actually apply to your life. Another thing I really love about these books (and that also make you read them quickly) it's the writing. It feels like you're talking to your best friend, very informal, very modern (and not cheesy), just great stuff. A MUST READ.
"Tales of the peculiar" - Ransom Riggs. This one I feel like you would love. It's a book filled with fantasy tales but with a spin for the peculiar and twisted. Very fun read, if you're into that kind of world. I've read it over and over and over, really great book (Also the book is GORGEOUS, inside and out).
"The Great Gatsby"- F. Scott Fitzgerald. A classic I absolutely adore. Jay and Daisy's romance got me hooked on reading it. The roaring 20s always fascinated me and this gives that little glimpse I think it's incredible.
"A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather than Nothing" - Lawrence M. Krauss. It basically takes on a physics journey through all the steps of how the universe came to existence as we know it today. Not gonna lie, half of the time reading this was me searching physics and cosmology principles but that's why I loved it so much, I love physics (even tho I don't understand most of it but who does anyway). Also, this book has the purpose to refute God's existence with science, and that's also one of my favourite things.
"Tales of mystery and imagination" - Edgar Allan Poe. I am a huge lover of everything this man has ever written. What more can I say, it's Edgar Allan Poe, twisted and dark, just how I love my books.
"Pride and Prejudice" - Jane Austen. I'm not even gonna say anything, I don't think I even need to.
"The Master and Margarita" - Mikhail Bulgakov. I actually haven't finished this one yet, I'm only halfway through but I can already tell this is going to be a favourite. It's a book about the Devil's visit to Moscow in the 20s with some romance in-between. Recommend it as well, really interesting read.
I hope I didn't bore you with the long answer, but you asked that great question and I love to ramble about books.
