The mercenary had taken the woman's advice, taking her leave for one of the rooms in the tavern. An early night seemed to help, the cool sheets bringing her mind to ease...but alas...that wouldn't last.
Pure moonlight flooded throughout the room and was when it started. A cold sweat formed on her brow before she started clutching at her chest, a sweeping pain washing over her. She...had felt worse, but by the gods, it was similar to that. She tossed and she turned, panting at the tightness before she fell out the bed, curling onto the floor.
Strangled screams could be heard down the hallways...yet no help came as the other guests slept in their beds...It wouldn't have helped either way, as for when day broke, all that remained in the room were shredded clothes and a broken window...
....but the cape was missing.
