Gone, without even the mercy of crossing over into whatever his damned life was supposed to end at.
A transparent visage of grey with two holes born into his chest, a permanent reminder of damage done to his unladen body, left. A phenomenon no one had bothered with.
Not even upon inquiry of the mysterious absence of the Frenchman. Just a body and few questions.
Maybe no one gave a damn? No one noticed. No one cared.
He patrolled the hollowness of cold, empty Smoking Room. Dead fireplace. Light streaming from only a window by the edge; he could have sworn he viewed dust through those beams.
Why? He hasn't even been gone for that long. Why hasn't anyone noticed? Come to investigate?

[Rn my story for Spy being a ghost is what he believes to be a Respawn Failure when he got shot twice in the chest in a BLU base, and somewhat is, but it's just a fuck up with the spawn system and can be fixed. He just doesn't know it yet because only an Engi or a Medic would know how to fix it.
