UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH Let’s talk about Dorian and Fae then
Dorian Perry grew up in a marshy part of Louisiana. While he doesn’t have an accent, he comes from a big family who does, and occasionally swears in french. He is a very strong but gentle person, and always tries to do what he thinks is right, whether it actually is or not.
“Marceline Fae” grew up rich, spoiled, and adored by her parents. Her parents moved to California from The United Kingdom. As an adult Fae carries on a career as a bounty hunter. She is cruel because she wants to be and has a very self-centered focus on life.
Dorian realizes eventually that the two ‘child gods’ that he and Fae are hunting aren’t the dangerous murderers that he was led to believe they were. After an especially wicked attack from Fae, makes his mind up to join and help the girls.
Later, as Dorian is ‘exposed’ to Ross and Kassie, his own abilities emerge and he realizes he has the power to control plants. After a cosmic event of sorts, and a lot of magic abuse, Fae gains to ability to control water. (I’m still not sure if I want the two of them to have powers too, or if I just want those themes strongly associated with them.)
