Having someone from Boston back in her life was weird. Having that someone be a fellow boxer was even weirder. Not that Carson minded, of course. She hadn’t really known Jonathan when they were younger, he was a few years younger than her, had started boxing just before she’d fallen from grace. And then he’d shown up at the gym she taught boxing at and they’d connected. He was a cute little thing, still as thin and wiry as she’d remembered him. It was why she’d remembered him. She always remembered the little ones.
Over the past few weeks they’d spent a lot of time together, mostly in the gym but occasionally out of it. This night, however, they’d been in a dance class together. It seemed dance and boxing had a habit of going hand-in-hand. The class had just ended when she made her way over to him.
“Hey, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go for a bite to eat, or something?”
