He caught himself though, schooling his features into a more relaxed expression as he turned to her and took her in. "Sure," he nodded, "of course." He glanced around, as if expecting to see a sign of where she was trying to get to before jumping his attention back to the woman. "Where are you going?"

The ache in Jesse’s side eased as the faint glow of healing magic faded, leaving behind only a dull throb where moments ago there had been searing pain. His breath hitched slightly as he shifted, testing the extent of the mending. Not perfect, but worlds better than before. He exhaled a quiet, shaky sigh.

He glanced up at the cleric, “Thank you,” his voice was quieter than he intended, though sincere. “Really. You didn’t have to, so… thanks.” He pushed himself upright, his movements slow, as though testing the limits of the healing. His fingers brushed against the freshly mended area, a faint wince evidencing his lingering soreness. A faint, almost hesitant smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. “You’re good at this.”

making an unexpected visit to an individual he was not meant to be cordial and fraternize with as it was against rules with her being the hunter and he the vampire yet they had known each other for a month now having crossed paths when she tried hunting him at first to claim a kill yet whenever they encountered each other a fight would break out with the vampire intentionally mocking, taunting and toying with her but not inflicting any serious injury upon her or even killing her since he found the hunter to be infatuated as he was drawn to her. sadly despite his attempts to sink his fangs into her neck he never managed to taste her blood or even bite her as he would often flee to escape any form of being captured or killed. as he stood in the dimly lit hallway just outside her doorway.

surprised yet stunned for a moment to see her splayed on her bed with her legs open and the object of her toy pressing to her flushed petals and clit. however, he could not enter until the hunter would permit him to do so. hands curled into fists which pressed on the doorframe as he rocked forward with a smirk forming on his lips. he wondered what kind of game she was playing displaying herself in this manner. " i must say that i didn't expect to catch you like this. i was under the impression after getting your message last night that you wanted another rematch? " his tone was pleasant yet thick with amusement. he paused for a moment with his tongue licking his dry lips briefly before his eyes lifted to directly meet her gaze. " usually it's a stake you're holding in your hand when you confront me but i must say i like seeing this way. i sure hope you won't use that toy on me if this is a trap? " his tone of voice was ripe with sarcasm as he teased. the vampire was not worried if this were a trap set up by her. breath would be drawn through his lips as he grew aroused just by the sight of her with the toy pressed against her hole. " so are you going to be polite and invite me in? after all it's not wise to keep a hungry vampire waiting. " he hissed as the build-up of anticipation grew intensely as he was eager to enter her room. eyes would shift over to the door frame when he leaned back. his palms now gripping hold of her door frame yet their was nothing he could do for he was unable to enter.

guilt grew overwhelmingly potent consuming his thoughts associated with how his benefactor or more clearly the individual who was funding his career by having his artwork displayed at expensive venues and events wasn't seeing a mass profit as sure there had been buyers but not enough to repay the incredible debt that was owed as it was consuming him beneath the surface however he would remain calmly composed in her presence having accepted her invitation at a private dinner tonight with jesse still adjusting the wealthy upper-class lifestyle having been thrust into it. holding the wine glass in the palm of his hand as it was only half full while eyes roamed over the portrait of one of his works now framed.

briefly, he'd glance over at hollie flashing her a tiny smile as his body felt tense yet he didn't want to be timid tonight but rather bold. " thank you for dinner but i am sure you want to call it a night soon if you want me to leave. " he would assume aware he was overthinking it yet desperately wanting to fleet away and not confront her with what had been on the forefront of his mind. jesse brought the glass to his lips taking a few gulps relying on liquid courage as he emptied the glass in a few seconds. he lowered the empty glass by his chest and then took a step closer keeping his eyes directly locked with her own. " you've done a lot for me over these past few months but i feel horrible you haven't been able to make a profit. i can't really pay you with money but i can pay you in other ways - - if you catch my drift? " scrunching up his nose and squinting eyes with teeth dragging over the corner of his bottom lip as he was clearly nervous about what he had offered as payment - - himself to appease her desires.

" peace offering. " still rattled yet overwhelmed with unbridled guilt for not having been completely honest with her. swallowing the lump in the back of his throat as the smile faded when he placed the alcoholic beverage he had made for her to quell her nerves due to her being through so much this evening and having to witness bloodshed from his hand. taking a seat across from her to which he would slump his back into the sofa as his muscles were tired, his knuckles taped since they were cut and bruised up. squinted eyes looked down at the joint he placed between his lips to take the edge off when holding the naked flame of his dragon gold zippo lighter he had borrowed from the terminally deceased boss who had kidnapped her tonight. throwing the lighter off to the side after closing it yet eyes of his purposely avoided her face. hand rubbed his bead-soaked forehead after taking a hit. two fingers closed around the outside of the joint when removing the item from his lips.

eyes would eventually make their way to look back at her with unintentional guilt-ridden eyes. " i haven't been completely honest with you and i am sorry for not being truthful. my life is pretty far from normal even though i try and put up the appearance of having a normal life. i know you have a lot of questions and you probably don't want to be here and i am sorry about what you've been through tonight which i take full responsibility for. " he sighed before licking his lips only to sit up as his gaze lingered on her. " as you know i am a pot dealer but what you didn't know until tonight is that i also kill bad people. i've been doing it for a while now trying to clean things up. " he admitted sounding a little apprehensive in doing so but under the belief she deserved to know the truth. " i killed that guys son the one who kidnapped you to get to me but i wasn't able to find his dad until tonight. " shrugging his shoulders as tone became nonchalant.

having sold a few vehicles during the week to a dealership that dealt in selling stolen cars one he worked as a hustle for with jesse was incredibly good when it came to the skill of stealing cars yet there was one he kept on purpose in the lone garage he stayed out which was in the middle of nowhere just outside of town. intentionally waiting for the owner of the registered vehicle since he had personal business with the individual knowing who she was and what her boyfriend had done. alerted to the sound of rustling outside the wooden structure he resided in causing him to sit up and climb out of bed. not bothered to put on a shirt he would quietly move through the dark making his way towards the car in the next room. jesse didn't need a weapon confident he could take on the intruder as many had come before trying to steal his product ( pot ). not saying a word he peeked around the corner to see a shadowy figure near the car. not who he was expecting as he appeared to be a little stumped having believed her boyfriend would show. she had a strong alluring scene which grew incredibly potent. jesse would move into the room hunched before coming to a stop just a meter away from her.

having doubts and second thoughts due to his consciousness and weakness which originally had him excluded from his clan he would then stand up refraining from attacking her since she might have been innocent. " this is private property and you aren't the owner of this vehicle so i suggest you back up and move over to the table behind you. " his voice coarse and quiet when he took a few steps back with eyes directly fixated on her not knowing if she would remember him. " i thought he would show up for the bait unless he's outside waiting or something after all he's the one who shot me that night. the only way he knew what i am is if you told him. " having his suspicions that she might have told her boyfriend that he had been the killer which hadn't been. falsely accused but luckily he was never a target but rather a few days after the actual killer had been caught meanwhile jesse was treating his injuries in a vet building prying out the silver bullet from his chest with the scar being a constant reminder of the tragic event that had taken place that night. staring at her with eyebrows pushed together and his jawline clenched clearly distraught with anger and sadness intertwined. the beast within wanted to take her however he was holding it back. " your stupid boyfriend shot me on the right side of the chest. everyone knows the only way to kill a werewolf is to shoot them in the heart. "
