Merlin has huge debts looming over this head, a few quid left in his bank account, and no job prospects. Arthur is pushing thirty, in a dead-end job with no chances of promotion to fieldwork agent, and is thoroughly bored with his life.

One ill-advised Craigslist advert, five pushy mates, one nosy all-knowing sister, and a hacked email account later, Merlin and Arthur take the world by storm.

Comment: This year’s ACBB! Look, I’m on time and everything? (Hey, I don’t always have time to read 100k+). This fic was not what I was expecting, which I should have known better because footloose’s 100k fics are usually odd-concepts-executed-wonderfully. I can’t even begin to explain the world, but the story is intriguing as well as being hilarious at times and nerve-wracking at others.

So a really long time back there was this nonnie who wanted fics where Merlin and Arthur meet again after a long time. I suggest the 'May the Fourth' series by Footloose. It makes your heart gasp and tummy clench with every other sentence. I thought I had diarrhoea when I read this lols.

Modern Magic where Merlin is still the powerful Emrys is 100% the kind of stuff I love to read, although I had never come across anything like it until you sent me this ask. I’ve managed to find one, although I haven’t finished reading it, here it is. Also, if anyone has any other rec similar, please link me!
