Allison stretched each of her limbs carefully, counting precise seconds for every movement while she waited. Normally she wouldn’t allow anyone to bother her during her morning exercises, but it was as hard for her to tell Evie no as it could be for anyone else. And when the younger Princess had asked that she help Magic turn all those useless facts tumbling around in his head into actually usable defense techniques she’d caved. Her expression was blank, senses attuned completely to her surroundings so she’d know when they arrive.
