Louis snorted. “Nice try but I have to work, you sneaky little bastard.” He kissed Harry quickly with the intention of it being the last time as he also squeezed their hands together before letting go. “Seriously, go. I…” Louis hesitated a second, not really sure what to say as his final goodbye to Harry. “I’ll be waiting for you.” He settle on that, because that was a promise he knew he would be holding on to.

“Can’t wait. I love you,” Harry said, just as he had said that to Louis over the weekend many other times. He finally let go of him and kissed Louis on the cheek, smiling brightly at him before he opened the door and got out of the car.

Louis would also hold onto those three words until the weekend came along.

Oh, hi there! That was a direct question I wasn’t expecting HAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, so because of possible spoilers, I’m gonna answer under the cut

So........................ HAUAHSUAHSUSHU 

First things first: angst moves the plot.

Alright, we could’ve let Harry and Louis have a long distance relationship when Harry had to go on his expedition thing, but we thought that adding the angst and thinking about how they would reunite after 3/4 years, breaking them up would add something more to the story? You know, more tension, more bottled up feelings and the fact that even 3 years really apart, without them even talking to each other, it would make them feel more for each other, if that makes sense (because they didn’t really forget about each other, their love is stronger than a teenage break up sort of thing hsaiksklaps synara will kill me for saying something like this anyway).

Also, like, ok, it’s beautiful to have a high school sweetheart, you know, a first love/boyfriend that really works out for long enough. I know people who started dating in like 8th grade and are still together, got married and all.... but I also know their story wasn’t easy. They had lots of break ups and make ups along the way, especially because I think when you are a teenager... you have lots of feelings, nothing is actually forever, everything is temporary, you’re going through a lot. Nothing is perfect and everlasting. Now let’s consider H&L... right, they were already 18/20 when they got together, but they were still young and add up the fact that they were from different worlds, they still didn’t actually know how to deal with their feelings and their actual differences. So they kinda exploded in that one fight and things escalated quickly. Louis got hurt because of the unexpected news and how Harry delivered them, and Harry was a bit torn on following his dreams and his feelings for Louis... so they weren’t with the right mindset at that moment to discuss anything and because of that they argued and acted out of their feelings right there, and then they were both pissed at each other (and Louis was hurt and sent that letter to Harry with a hidden “fuck you” -- yup he did -- and Harry got even more hurt and didn’t answer Louis back, so... stupid boys will be stupid and try to forget the person they are in love because they are both hurts AND THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO REALLY VOICE THEIR FEELINGS -- miscommunication is the key here, it fucks up everyone, no matter how much you like the person.)It wasn’t the right time for them to be together, let’s put it that way. They had a lot to find out about themselves... and they did, each on their own, but even so, they realized that what they really wanted, what they really had, wasn’t all that, wasn’t enough -- Harry had a breakthrough to find this out (thanks to the old wizard in Egypt) when he had locked his feelings for Louis... Louis just needed a push, because he had also locked his feelings for Harry, but he didn’t have anyone tell him that they were still there for him to “see the light” like Harry did, but his feelings were still there, so in the end, it was better to give them a second chance for them to learn how to be themselves and to see what they really wanted, and then come back to each other, to work on themselves together and grow strong (even thought they had to argue again and finally put their cards and feelings on the table to get there -- PLEASE READ PART 4 :D)I don’t know if it will make sense to you, but that’s the reason in our head basically haha
