Appearantly my cowokers find it funny to make racist jokes now because they found out I'm "touchy" about that and they laugh at me for trying to educate them or for telling them to shut up. Haha, it's so funny

Today in the cable cabin the kids were trying swearwords again and they were a bunch of maybe 5 to 7 years olds and they all said things like "Donald Trump had a butt for a mouth and a dick for a nose" followed by hysterical laughter, or "It's not Donald Trump it's Donald Shithead" and I should have stopped them but I didn't have it in my heart to scold them when in actuality I was kinda proud

There’s this two siblings at work this week, she’s the tiniest 5 years old and he’s 7, and yesterday the whole day they talked about how excited they were for going home bc even tho they liked it they just wanted it to end bc their dad was supposed to pick them up and their parents have recently divorced and now they almost never see him, and the whole fucking day since breakfast they’ve been asking me how many hours until their dad would come and then when we left the cable cabin in the afternoon i saw their mum waiting for them and I almost cried, I was so disappointed.

So in the 4 days I work now I haven't had one (1) conversation with my coworker that was not him complaining or whining about something and now I had to drive home in the same bus as him and in the 20 minutes it takes to get to my station he told me his entire miserable life story starting with "it all started when my parents had xy problem" and he whined and whined and oh god please somebody kill me. He literally complained about the water tasting gross today.

So one of the dads was a little late to pick up his kids yesterday and the smaller one told me that he didn't like that his dad was not here and he was all sad and I told him that surely he'd be there in a sec and he said "but it's not valid that he takes so long"

These kids I look after are all so perfectly bilingual??? It's funny tho that the German kids speak Italian fluently and every single one of them (even the 4 years old) understand it and can make themselves understood, while the Italian kids struggle a little more or rather don't even try, they just walk up to the German kids and start talking Italian. But they still understand something, so it's still great to see our education system improving from when I was their age

So 7 years old girl at work tells me about how she went to England last summer and how there were so many foreigners (aka people of color) and how annoying that was and I told her she was a foreigner, there, too, and she didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. 7 years old. I wonder what kinda parents she has.
