New Blog???

To all of my wonderful 33 followers: I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be starting a NEW BLOG  dedicated solely to the books that I read and what I thought of them.

I don't know how successful I'll be, or if I'll even keep up with it, but I've decided to try because I feel like posting long rants/reviews of  books here on my personal blog would probably just get in the way of the scrolling of those who are uninterested. Also, I think it would be a good thing for me to actively write down what I think of books since I want a job in the publishing field eventually. Maybe this blog will help me to realize if I'm any good at it.

My favorite types of books are YA fantasy/adventure. I read other stuff too though, so you can expect thoughts on other genres here and there. Send me recommendations in my ask box!

The first book I'll talk about will be the one that I literally just finished minutes ago - Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo which was so amazing it has finally lit a fire under my butt to start this blog, which, as some of my friends IRL know, has been an idea for a while now.  Thanks for reading! My New Blog!!

Hello everyone! If you already know who I am from following my personal blog, you'll have seen my announcement that I am starting this new blog purely to talk about books.I read all of the time (especially now that it's summer) and have so many feels about my books that I felt that I shouldn't crowd my personal blog with them and bother my followers. SO if you like to read, stick around for a bit and discuss with me!

 My favorite thing to do is probably to DISCUSS books. I don't intend this blog to be full of quick, simple reviews/reactions - I really want it to be a place where I tell you what I think, then you tell me what you think, and we muse over books together - so please don't be shy to send me a message! It'll make me really happy to talk with you!  I already have a few books that I know I want to start talking about - the first will be the first in an amazing series I have just started, titled  Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. It's a book of my favorite genre: YA fantasy adventure! I'll see you there :)

1.     TV show or movie you never thought you would like, but ended up loving?

I wasn't sure if I would like Doctor Who when I first started watching it, it was my introduction to scifi pretty much and British television.

2.     What song or lyrics do you find most inspirational?

This always happens when I try to think of songs, I can never remember any of them, it's not inspirational I don't think but I really love Grantaire's part of Drink with me, when I heard Hadley Fraser sing this part for the first time it made me cry.

3.     Do you have any unusual/unique hobbies?

I'm going to guess that fangirling doesn't count... I used to German Folk Dance but I don't do that anymore. I like baking cakes/cup cakes and giving them away to people.

4.     Favorite scent?

I have a candle that smells like bread, it is so yummy smelling. There is also a body mist at Bath and Body works called Twilight Woods that I love.

5.     What are your bad habits?

I eat too much food and am really lazy. I also procrastinate on my homework and spend far too much time on the internet. I also take off my shoes in public and walk around without them on.

6.     Something you are most proud of?

I'm proud of myself for getting into a University and keeping up my grades.

7.     What is the first thing you notice about people?

I usually notice peoples eyes and voice first.

8.     If you were stuck on an island and could only bring 3 things, what you you bring? (Hint, there is no WiFi on the island, ladies and gents!)

I would bring a copy of Les Miserables (book version), and two comfy pillows.

9.     Would you rather travel back or forward in time?

I love history so I would travel back.

10. If you could have any animal for a pet, what would it be?

I would have an orange kitty.

11. What compelled you to join Tumblr?

I joined because my ex-roommate/ex-friend showed it to me while we were still friends and I got addicted.

1. Favorite childhood TV show? Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and Courage the Cowardly Dog (even though it gave me nightmares and made me cry a lot)

2. Do you have any pets? YEAH I DO! MY HOME-DAWG STORM UP IN THIS HIZOWWWZZ. He likes to howl at the most inappropriate of times.

I also have a black and white cat named Mario. He used to be my aunts, but we kind of adopted him. He’s really sweet and likes to wrap around people’s shoulders like a scarf. 

3. What was the last thing you bought for yourself? Um…a mint hot chocolate at Dunkin...

4. Favorite artist (tumblr or otherwise)? Oh, Lord…this really isn’t fair…gosh, I really don’t think I have a favorite. Other than my irl friends, Spinewinder on DA (Tim Dickinson).

5. Do you collect anything? Movie ticket stubs.

6. Are you a morning person or a night person? Definitely night. Yeah. Definitely.

7. Got any OTP’s? Haha, don’t we all? I have a lot of pairings I like, but if I had to pick one pairing in all existence (that I’ve come across so far) I’d have to say Kouchi and Raimei from Nabari No Ou (no one knows this series…). I also really like Soul and Maka from Soul Eater.

8. What is the farthest you have been from home? EDINBURGH BITCHES (bout 3,300 miles)! Gawd, I want to go back.

9. Celebrity crush? Jamie Bell and Gary Oldman…..that’s not creepy….

10. What was your first fandom? Um…I don’t really know honestly? Like the first thing I fangirled over that I realized I was in a fandom? Um…D.Gray-man maybe?

11. Your favorite song? Closer to the Edge by 30 Seconds to Mars, I Don’t Need A Soul by Relient K, and Life In Technicolor II by Coldplay….that’s more than one…sorry…
